Very relaxing trundling through the Cambridgeshire countryside, Jonathan.. Apart from that appendage on the left, I could be riding my own bike. Same sounds too. Chug, chug, chug (and that's the bike, not the beer).

@@PantherOwnersClub1 Having grown up in Norfolk and spent my early twenties there, riding, I still harbour a lust for the myriad of tiny lanes at your disposal. My choices of destination and route are limited by the scale of the landscape and a rather less well-developed road network.

Four days into Covid , feeling like C**p..(caught in Glasgow...not going there again) missing the VMCC Girder fork run on a rare dry sunny Scottish day...salvation! I can watch JJ and Angie on a run. Brilliant, well up to your usual standard......PS "Blind Owl" Wilson sure could blow that thing!

Wind noise elimination worked perfectly, good reverse parking trick, successful tractor dodge 👌👍🙀 no, I do remember Canned Heat 😊 I’m sure that Her Majesty would see it as an accolade that one of her notes was the go-to remedy for a noble steed. 😇👍

Really enjoyed the video. If you have a "Suppressor" type plug cap, maybe try a non suppressor type.

there is a long known issue with the modern coils that when they are dying you can see a spark when testing with the plug held against the case but installed and under compression they are weak, could you be seeing this issue also? Throw in temperature etc. and it can be a pain to pin down unless you have a known good coil to test with

something very restful from the combination of engine rumble, commentary calm and sidecar attachment. Good for the soul i think!!

looked again at you excellent video...not much else to do ,still positive....Is that an NGK plug?..not a bad choice. If the mag is ok and graphite on the plug points gets things going then could it be the plug. My M100 starting problems were down to Indian made Bosch plugs which sparked outside the barrel but not under compression. I am currently using a Lodge HH14 triple point, how about trying something old and pink like a HBN or HN?....alternative Canned Heat tracks...Going up the Country or maybe Creedance Clearwater Revival ..Up around the bend...great intro

Thanks Andrew. Hope the lurgy mentioned in your earlier comment isn't too severe. I get your point about plugs as I've also had issues of the kind. As mentioned in my reply to Dave Wrigley's earlier comment I have fitted a Brisk plug one grade hotter as a trial. Keeping a close eye on that. Yes, there seems to be an improvement, but we have been there before. Once had some Creedence on cassette tape. My vinyl has lasted better.

I had to look up the news that the UK got rid of paper notes! Polymer notes now, like Vietnam. Not useful for points!

Just an observation but do you NGK plugs, I used to use them in my M100 and found Panther’s don’t like NGK plugs for some strange reason and behave in similar to what you’re experiencing. I went onto champion or lodge and never experienced it again.

Have you ever tried a BRISK spark plug.sold by f2 motorcycles.the plugs work better on older motorcycles and the poor e5/e10 petrol.thing they have been sold on the continent for years
@PantherOwnersClub12 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dave. Co-incidentally I am trying a hotter Brisk plug now, keeping an eye on its condition and an ear for pre-ignition. (By the way you can correct your own typographical errors on YT even after publication. Roll your cursor over the three dots, click there and you'll see 'edit'.

Your poor starting appears to be caused by the plug, it looks black and dirty. Try a grade hotter plug and or give the motor a little more advance. That should keep the plug clean.
@PantherOwnersClub12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion Dave. I am currently trying a hotter plug, unfortunately so far with no dramatic improvement.
@lsdt012 жыл бұрын
@@PantherOwnersClub1 If the hotter plug isn't showing any signs of burning off the carbon or over heating try the next number hotter. I think its the modern fuel burning cooler?
