I love that you bang videos out quite quickly... some people do this big builds and you're waiting over a week to then watch no progress, but then the videos are longer... I quite like the more frequent, shorter length videos as it feels like it's being done in real time and you're really along for the ride
@damirramic4099Ай бұрын
So glad I found this channel. First off you’re building my dream car, but the fact that you’re ocding the crap out of it is sooo freaking satisfying idk what to say other than thank you and I hope this build is rewarded at a sema show at some point. Unless it already has and I missed it. Keep up the amazing work you are awesome. Ps. If it’s in the budget cerakote the engine
@natewhite2345Ай бұрын
Your quality control never ceases to amaze me. I can’t remember exactly what video it was but it was your first time tearing apart and transmission and there was some hiccups along the way and learning experiences. Now you just tear them apart and rebuild them like they are nothing and i’m so happy to see that. You are one hell of a man devin
@JonHop1Ай бұрын
If you ever upgrade the gears, go with 1-2 dog gears from PPG and 3-4 forged Helical gears from PPG... All syncro engagement... Its the PERFECT setup for a street RWD or AWD Honda.. Can launch hard af and bang the crap outta 1-2 and then you have 3-6 all helical but a strong 3-4 for pulls.

Man is beautiful to see things done right and the attention to detail. I see lots of people bolting new parts to dirty or rusty parts. This level of restauration is what makes the car be new at the end of the build and it will feel like it. Love the way you do things and also love JDM's and NSX is one of my all time favorites so loving this series

You really should invest on a Vixen surface treatments Aquablast vapor blasting machine now that you're restoring cars more often than just modifying them. You really should check out the results on aluminum parts! It's a little bit expensive of a machine (8-12k) depending on the size but man this machine is a piece of art!
@FillTheWoodbАй бұрын
Was also going to mention this!!! Sreten from m539 restorations on KZbin uses it and makes his engine components SUPER MINT

Hey if exhaust/turbo clearance is an issue at all I’m working on producing an exhaust manifold for the k24z engines. Saves a lot of space on the hot side. Perk is that the k24z engines use the same pistons and rods as the k24a. The head when ported also outflows the standard k24. Oil pump swap is a must though
@rorodesignspowdercoatingАй бұрын
Dude the transmission looks soo damn good in the cerakote silver !
@BigD4Real.Ай бұрын
I’ve done a few of those transmissions and the easiest way that I have found to put the gear set in with the shift forks and everything is to assemble it on the bench on its side and then pick it all up as an assembly and set it down into the case.

I'm in the middle of doing a similar build on my k series 5-speed. Mfactory LSD, synchrotec carbon synchros, and new bearings . Also waiting on a new 2nd gear as mine was pretty beat up. While waiting, I decided to start cleaning the transmission case. I spent hours degreasing/ aluminum brightening and could not get the stains out. Ended up just painting it with cast aluminum paint which is something I was hoping I could avoid 😂
