To my understanding Chuckles started as a running gag about the fact that Gideon killed a clown accidentally at the carnival their characters ran before the campaign. Then the "the last person you killed tells you things about their life" thing turned him into an actual character. The living versions of Chuckles exist in a parallel universe to that one in a campaign that was started later on.

If anyone is interested, these animations were done by a man named Shoocharu. He's very talented and does amazing unhinged animations. He used to do animations for the Game Grumps and to this day still does Animated Music Videos for the band NSP (Ninja Sex Party).

For the very first short, Frosty was huffing because of his curse: he would always be on the verge of a sneeze that would never come. So him pausing to huff before the never-happening sneeze was a gimmick to get Mace to laugh, IIRC.

A lot of people seemed to find it weird that the DM/GM/Storyteller doesn't like Deez Nuts jokes. But you have to realize that they're improving, making jokes. Many jokes need a straight man, a sourpuss, or just the person who never gets the punchline. And the DM is in position of power, which allows them to label certain things as forbidden, which of course the players will want to do! All a symbiotic comedy relationship. PS: There's so much love for Chuckles but honestly there are no weak links in the entire team, they all have their strengths in bouncing jokes off each other.
