those things you call "nuclear reactor" are CASTOR containers and are used to safely relocate burned out fuel rods the nuclear water..isnt nuclear. that pool is where burned out fuel rods are stored and cooled down until they can be relocated 8:30 yes. those rods are the reactor lid. they contain the control rods. and also, by this design of the controlrods we can determine (as well by the shape of the reactor containment building) that it is a pressurized-water reactor. but it makes no sense. that the reactor is located there. usually this should look a bit different, therefore, this reactor does not follow standard construction protocol (cuz the entire containment building is just..not there? sure the dom is there but its just build wrong) -->the containmentbuilding is simply not up to code.

power plants usually use offsite power to start up and then disconnect and power themselves but they 100% can lose power and it can cause issues. Chernobyl was caused by a loss of offsite power test gone wrong. they went to test if they knew which they said they didnt and they caused BIG issues.

Nuclear energy is the safest energy apart from water power plants. Chernobyl had a water cooled, graphite moderated reactor where graphite displacers on the control rods played a huge part in the explosion, this can never happen in reactors that use water for both cooling and moderation (every western reactor ever), there can be meltdowns but uranium fuel will never eject through the roof in a steam explosion.
