Muslims [proper Muslims] don’t call niqab extreme. Those who are plagued with the western ideologies - especially those surrounding feminism - call the niqab extreme. I know of sisters who are in middle school with full niqabs in the US, and similarly women all over the world do the same, who stay steadfast in their jihad (wearing of the hijab and/or niqab) against the resistance of the west. The niqab, and hijab at large, serve a beautiful and powerful set of purposes that Allah SWT knows best of, and Muslims submit to their Lord in his commands. Remember sister - you are giving a middle finger to the whole world! You’re showing them that your beauty is exclusive and not for them to judge or look at. It’s a very powerful and beautiful part of all Muslim women.

The Prophet said, “O Asma, when a woman reaches the age of maturity, it is not proper for her to show anything but this and this,” and the Prophet pointed to his face and hands. Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4104 The history of full face veils seems to go back to cultural jealousy and how women in hareems of jahilliyah were covered up. Why people prefer this and think it is better than what Muhammad SAW explicitly told us is really sad to contemplate. Why take Ibn Abbas' opinion over the direct instructions of Muhammad SAW?

A woman who is my backbone and help me bring up leaders of tomorrow. Men who are imams for the ummah. Men that will lead the liberation of the holy lands and opressed muslims. Dear viewers, please be careful of those in the comments sparking confusion and giving their own opinions. If you are unsure of something (regarding Islam), ask your local Imam or Sheikh, read about the Sirah of the Prophet (PBUH), and other authentic sources! Do not allow your desires to get in the way of what’s halal and haram, but rather follow that which Allah SWT and his Messenger has commanded you to follow, and you will be of the successful insha’Allah.

proper hijab included covering the body and making sure you are fulfilling all 6 conditions of hijab, a few of them being the hijab is not tight, see through, indulging in tabarujj or colourful etc. proper hijab also includes niqab, face covering which is mandatory every madhab, all schools of thought agree that the covering of the face is mandatory. the evidence from the quran proves the same quran 33:53 “O believers! Do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission ˹and if invited˺ for a meal, do not ˹come too early and˺ linger until the meal is ready. But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you ˹believers˺ ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah.” - and when you believers ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. the evidence is clear, there needs to be a barrier between them, so that NOTHING is seen, this includes the face because a barrier covers everything furthermore just 6 verses later, this is what allah ﷻ has ordered the believing women to do and not just the wives of the prophet ﷺ 33:59 “O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized ˹as virtuous˺ and not be harassed. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” - drawing their cloaks over their bodies means only one thing; that the body AND the face must be covered. the evidence for this is one sentence later as well as in the tafaseer of the quran. the next sentence allah ﷻ says is to cover because you’ll be recognized as virtuous and not harassed. if the face is visible then harassment is still possible. people know who the woman is and can then find out what family she comes from, where she lives, her friends etc, therefore it is absolutely mandatory to cover the face - furthermore the evidence from the tafaseer the quran suggest the same. The words used in the command about the Hijab of free women in the verse under study (59) appear as follows: يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ in which the word: يُدْنِينَ (yudnina) has been derived from: اِذنَا (idna) which literally means to draw, pull or make come closer. The second word: عَلَيْهِنَّ (` alaihinn) means 'on' or 'over themselves' (hanging as a screen for the face). The third word: جَلَابِيبِ (jalabib) in: جِلبَاب (jalabibihinn) is the plural form of: جِلبَاب (jilbab) which is the name of a particular long sheet. Sayyidna Ibn Masud identified the form of this sheet as the one that is worn over the scarf (Ibn Kathir) and Sayyidna Ibn ` Abbas ` ؓ described its form in the words given below: اَمَرَ اللہُ نِسَاَء المُؤمِنِینَ اِذَا خَرَجنِ مَن بُیُتِھِنَّ فِی حَاجَۃِ اَن یُّغَطِّینِ وُجُوھَھُنَّ مِن فَوقِ رُؤسِھِنَّ بالجَلَابِیبِ وَیُبدِینَ عَیناً وَاحِدَۃَ (ابن کثیر) "Allah Ta’ ala commanded women of the believers that, when they go out of their homes to take care of some need, they hide their faces with the long sheet (hanging down) from over their heads leaving only one eye open (to see the way)." - (Ibn Kathir) And Imam Muhammad Ibn Sirin says: 'When I asked ` Ubaidah Salmani ؓ about the meaning of this verse and the nature of Hijab, he demonstrated it by hiding his face with the long sheet pulled from the top of his head and left to hang in front of it - and thus, by keeping only his left eye open to see, he explained the words: idna': (bring close) and: jilbab (long sheet or shawl) practically .' 'To have the long sheet come from over the head and hand on, or in front of, the face' which appears in the statement of Sayyidna Ibn ` Abbas and ` Ubaidah Salmani is the explanation (Tafsir) of the Qur'anic word: عَلَيْهِنَّ (alaihinn: over them), that is, the sense of bringing the sheet close over them is to let the sheet come from over the head and hang on, or in front of, the face. This verse commands the hiding of the face with ample clarity which comprehensively supports what has been stated under the commentary on the first verse of Hijab appearing earlier. There it was said that, though the face and the palms of the hands are not included under satr as such but, under the apprehension of fitnah, hiding these too is necessary. Only situations of compulsion stand exempted. when excluding the quran and the tafseer and thinking purely from a logical standpoint. the face of the woman statistically speaking is where 70% of her beauty resides. her figure, her attitude, her hair are all secondary samples of attraction. when you get married to a woman, the first thing you and your parents would look for is beauty. therefore from a purely logical perspective, if the body must be covered, so too should the face furthermore, when i personally went to saudi arabia, every woman wore a niqab along with the hijab. those people understand arabic in their own language without needing a translation or a tafsir. if those women with better understanding of the quran wear a niqab and you with limited knowledge don’t, you should re evaluate your closeness to the quran and sunnah.

I think it is honorable to cover oneself just how we cannot see Prophet Mohammed Peace Be Upon Him, his face. It is not permissible to even look at Him! You are faithful and facing prejudice, yet you are doing the right thing in the face of injustice. I wish I knew about niqab when I was child. During the holidays when I was a child, my cousin tried to violate my face and I had to cover my whole face with my hands. While I covered my face and turned away, my other cousin defended me and my bad cousin was knocked out by my good cousin. It is ok to cover your face. Plus most of the world got COVID masks, and niqab are much more professional. You are a strong, independent woman, living the life God intended for you so you can be safe.

The only hijab that is OBLIGATORY is to cover the hair, ears, neck, and chest, and wear loose-fitting clothing that do not show the body or its shape. Niqab is NIT obligatory. You will not go to hell for not wearing niqab. What the sister is doing is not extremism, she wants to cover everything, good for her, I am jealous of her strive and her love for the niqab. But when a sheikh makes it seem like women who wear hijab properly but don’t wear niqab are committing Tabaruj and will go to hell, that is extremism, because the sheikhs is in a position of a leader and preaches about Islam and many ppl will take his word for law. Be careful, sheikh, don’t make fatwa on something you are not knowledgeable about and mislead people. Some people might curse at Muslim sisters who don’t wear niqab after seeing your video, or bully them online, or force their daughters and sisters to wear niqab. When your words hold so much weight, you need to be careful where you place them. May Allah guide you sheikh, and Allah knows best. 💛

I was also confused when i found this sheikh saying that it’s mandatory but then i found out that he’s a salafi and therefore his beliefs don’t match a lot of other scholars i follow. i would advise for you to trust your own scholars but if you still believe it’s mandatory, then yes not wearing it would be sinful. i personally don’t believe it’s mandatory for many reasons, one being that there was a hadith saying how the prophet pbuh pointed to his face and hands and said these are the only parts of a woman that are not her awrah. scholars do try to put different pieces of evidence together to show people that niqab is mandatory but there is no explicit verse or hadith that states such therefore i don’t go by that opinion.
