Nope! Last year I started Dec 1, that was good enough for top 10 qualifying and almost every main. This year I’ll only race if I have more prep. It’s likely I won’t have more prep, if that’s the case I either won’t race or will delay my first round until deeper into the season

From my experience, wrist HR monitors are good at recording steady rates but struggle with spikes. Also the wrist position likely understates your HR as there's too much motion. Wear a chest strap if you want more accurate reading.
