I have one of the previous version of Cubase that require a key. I did not upgrade to the latest because there needed to be credit for purchasing a product. I have used Studio One for years. I can make MIDI much easy than Cubase. Time in production is crucial. Thanks for the videos you produce.

Beethoven said that changing the octava of one note (eg., c3,c#3🡒c3,c#4) is as impactful as reversing a chord (eg., 5🡒6🡒64) on color; I personnally can hear this awareness with orchestral creations from Mozart, Beethoven or Ravel. I guess it's something that is definitely not found in midi pack, and maybe not in theory classes, jazz classes and also maybe not in YT (I did not check all YT), rather in orchestration classes I imagine.

Love it 👍! Agree, if you are serious about music composition and producing, you have to learn it. As well as some piano lessons, or another instrument. One important factor: How boring is it to create a music track out of midi pack chords? That’s no fun at all! You can create a much „better“ song, if you stay with a combination C - am - G for example. Sometimes that’s all it need, with a great melody and arrangement. Or you start with easy chords, learn some theory and then adding some chord variation or progression with purpose based on knowledge. Then you are a big step further. You can also Analyse great songs of the 80‘s for example and see for yourself, what works and why? I am just an amateur, and dont know music theory, but improving your instrument skills for example is also much more fun and creative than spending hours before a midi chord pack and trying to pick the right chords. But the entertainment factor of that video was dope, bro. 😅👍
