To be honest with you I always thought this was well known. When players feel good, they are more likely to play at their best, and unsurprisingly when they feel poorly, they don't often perform. The exception are those players who are determined to prove the manager wrong. They are more rare in game, but they love a combative manager.

I think what this really shows is how overpowered the motivator archetype of manager is. Doesn't matter if the team is only OK, their morale is the best in the league.

Swap the squads of the prem and national league and see whether the prem teams can rebuild with an awful squad in time to avoid dropping quickly and whether National league sides can rise quick enough to avoid losing their best players on a free (either by using the talented players or the sales of Said players)

This is so strange... I suppose because he is so bad at the minor aspects, those simply get delegated to more capable people whereas a perfect manager might do everything at once and gets spread too thin. Highly speculative how the game deals with it for real, though.

It is just that at a large club your actual ability to coach is second to your ability to manage a team. Coaching ability only matters in smaller leagues where you might be one of two or three coaches.

Got an idea... You should swap the top 5 leagues tv deals, give it to the bottom 5 leagues and give the top 5 leagues a paltry tv deal and see how long it takes for the bottom 5 to rise up and see how far the top 5 can fall from grace

You should create an alphabet league. Every letter gets 10 teams (the 10 with the highest reputation), at the end of the season every letters fight in a tournament for the playoffs.
