Truly some of the best storytelling I've ever experienced in a game! I'll be remembering Penacony for quite a long while even after we depart to the next world.

The only part i really cried at was the conversation between Tiernan and Acheron. I worked as an EMT and its hard when the one youre helping doesnt make it. It reminded me of a man who asked for my name before he passed. The talks about life, death, and what it means to exist in this patch really got to me.

Damn. My cousin (now 15 yo) did a ride-along with a friend of our's who is an EMT, and one of the calls didn't make it. He said that he wasn't impacted, but I refuse to believe that it didn't impact him at all.

I haven’t done Part 1’s story in about a month or so but Chapter 17 was the last one I did so this hit hard for me and I understand how special that was to the HI3 community 🥹

All the HI3rd references. If u played HI3rd, the story suddenly becomes a few times better than if u didnt know what was going on. And since the story never really hinges on u understanding them, its still amazing even when u dont know em. That final fight was legit the most emotional ive been in a game since the "graduation trip" animated short

The way I was literally talking about this on stream! Knowing the HI3 references heightens the experience but doesn’t take away from it, which I think is something the HSR team did so well, but I’m SO glad I chose to start playing HI3 when I did and managed to get through Chapter 17 bc my reaction would’ve been VASTLY different had I not

Who knows, maybe with enough references, more ppl will try out HI3rd which would let hoyo be a bit more confident in linking it tk HI3rd. Probably with welt and Void Archives somehow.
