Really enjoyed your reaction. A major part of why they were so emotional is because, after almost 14 years of trying to make it in the music industry, they had made the decision to give up, but were convinced by their mom to give it one last try by auditioning on the X Factor. If it hadn't gone well, that would have been the end of their career. Instead, the incredible response from the judges and the audience told them their dream was still alive. They didn't win the competition, but their months on the show introduced them to millions of people all over the world and finally made it possible for them to make a living as performers and to support their family. Ever since, when they're about to perform "Bang Bang," they introduce it as, "The song that changed our lives."

This was a life-changing audition for them. This was also a make-or-break audition. They were going to give up performing before this audition but took one last shot at it. I'm so grateful they did, otherwise we would have missed out on all the wonderful music they have been making since then. This audition video has 188 million views on X Factor's channel, the most ever for a single video. They have sung in many different languages: Filipino (their native language); English; Spanish; Korean; Japanese; Italian They have composed their own music Mylene arranges their songs Celina is their rapper Irene choreographs Almira is their belter/whistle note specialist (though Celina hits the whistle note too). Their harmonies are insanely good. These girls are the greatest girl band I know of in the world, and that is not just fandom speak.

Britt they came in 5th. Their ages 2015 Cel 19 Myles 23 Irene 25 Mira 27. They started their band 2001 ages were cel 6 Myles 10 Irene 12 Mira 14. They started singing at young age to help their parents and 2 more siblings out of extreme poverty, no glass windows, no beds they slept on straw on the floor, no refrigerator, no stove for the beginning of our ladies go to 4th impact their humble beginnings. At the time of this show the family of 8 was barely able to pay their home rental bill and buy food. They didn't even own a car. The girls were the main source of income by doing odd gigs and performances while still competing in talent shows. This audition did change their lives because it exposed them to a world wide audience and it launched their careers.They continued to work hard and improve their craft over these past 8 years so that now they are recognized as the "Queens of Harmony" and arguably the most vocally talented girl band in the world.

This comment made me emotional because I had no idea of the backstory behind this. I knew it was a make-or-break audition in terms of their careers but wow! They deserve the recognition they get now in this moment because the talent is off the chain it’s why I will always love talent shows as it allows a platform for this exact thing. Sad the X Factor has ended, not sure about other countries but at least here in the UK, this show we are watching doesn’t run any longer unfortunately.

Yeah, this is definitely in the top five. Where at in that five depends on that person making a list. But v they ran into another super talented singer that v actually did win it that season, Louisa Johnson. She sang so good throughout the competition. The one time, all the contestants even gave her standing ovation. Everyone knew she was going to win. Well, 90% sure.

When they said they were Filipino, I knew they were going to be good. The Filipino people love themselves some karaoke. Most videos I see of them singing they are amazing and soulful. When my granddaughter was very little she had a toy guitar. She would strum on it and freestyle songs. Used blow me and her moms mind. She has a karaoke machine. She fell in love with karaoke at her Filipino grandmother's house. I'm going to have to introduce her to this group.

Hello Miss Britt, ,I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this, "They all look the same age!" but there is a nine year gap between youngest to oldest and the wierd thing is that the oldest looked the youngest to me and many other people, let me introduce the girls to you, If you start at timestamp 1:10 looking left to right: Almira, she is the eldest and Leader of the group Mylene, she is the second youngest and Vocal Arranger of the group Irene, she is the second eldest and the Swagger of the group Finally Celina, she is the youngest and the Rapper of the group (though than all rap, Celina is the best at it) Yep, the have two other siblings, the oldest sister Elvira once sang with her sisters, but she was too shy to keep it up, but she is still the business manager for the group, and the youngest of the family is Rogelio and he is also trying to break into the music business from my understanding, it stands to reason that they can all sing, since karaoke is a huge deal in the Philippines, nearly every household has a karoake machine or access to one and they get used all the time. At the time of this 2015 audition, their father, a junk man, had a brain tumor, and needed an operation to remove it. They competed on the show, hoping to win and using the money to pay for their dad's surgery. 4th Power/4th Impact had been together as a group since 2001. Prior to XFactor-UK, they had been competing throughout Asia, winning singing competitions. The back story...... When Almira was a child, she had won a singing scholarship. Every day, when she came home, she taught her sisters everything she had learned.

Like you, when watching for the first time almost exactly 3 years ago, my mouth was open and tears started coming out towards the end of this miracle. They didn't win due to politics, but came out in the top 5, the most of any non-UK performer, and went on to being invited to every continent except North and South America. We know that we have to change that this year since their music and personality that has never changed, inspires us all to be the people they are. That choreography and even that song was only planned 10 minutes before after they waited for 10 hours expecting to do their favorite "Let It Go". Great reaction Britt. I hope you can find time to react to all of their XF performances. They are all outstanding. This performance was my first exposure to 4th Impact, but it was not until 2021 that I saw it here on YT. I have followed the girls ever since. The ladies still live with their whole family. They don't drink, don't smoke, don't curse, and are not covered in tattoos and body piercings that you see on most artist. Their harmonies a just heavenly, and on their YT channel they all have individual recordings that are outstanding. They have worked tirelessly trying to elevate their family out of poverty, and they were very successful at it. 4th Impact 4Ever. 💘💘💘💘

May I help you with a little history of 4th Impact. I followed them for years and did a lot of history on them. They had struggled a lot even though they were great. They had entered many competitions in their own country but were not totally acceptede. They put their own money into everything they have done and never got a big break. They struggled for so long just hoping they could be recognized. When they went to X factor they had already decided that it would be their last try, or they would have to break up as a singing group. Well, you just saw what happened. All the years finally paid off. NEVER GIVE YOU. I loved your great reaction.

first of all Britt I need to say thanks, I really enjoy your genuine reactions. I am so happy you found this group they are a diamond in the rough. Yes the have been competing since 2001 at a variety of international competitions. Even took first place at a major internatonal competition under the group name I believe was MICA. formerly known as M.I.C.A/Cercado/Gollayan Sisters from SANTIAGO CITY, ISABELA - Philippines. Named Mylene, Irene, Celina and Almira were formerly known also as Cercado/Gollayan Sisters. WCOPA (2006) Jr. Grand Champion Vocal Group of the World IT'S SHOWTIME Bida Kapamilya 1st Grand Champion (2013) WCOPA (2013) Sr. Grand Champion Vocal Group of the World SUPERSTAR K6 TOP 8 (2014) Since most groups don't become strong or famous unless out of larger financial markets such as Britain or US they never got much opportunity. They were going to quit if they failed at Britains Xfactor. Unfortunately they ran up against some of what they face now and some professional narcissism, though these girls will never say it. those that watched the shows know. Simon while said all the politically proper things to say at the audition level, it was different in competition, never saying anything negative about their singing, but knit picked their outfits being the same in some numbers and demeaning things about not being able to tell them apart thus not learn their names, it was sad. He truly undermined them, taking the total domination they had on his show, and shoved his support to local talent. They did leave with a strong following, and were greatful for the chance, but botta-bing in comes covid and shuts down tour hopes. And here they are today still hoping to bring joy to those that love to hear them sing, and who knows maybe some day.

they were one of the best group acts to ever come across these shows. . but some bad uck struck this season for them. . first off there was another dynamo that came on this season Louisa Johnson who was a run away favorite from the word go and ended up winning the whole show . . she'd be another great one to check out.. and also some poor coaching choices didnt help the situation either and got them knocked before the finals

The group was forced to change their name to 4th Impact, due to legal issues. It was discovered that the name 4th Power was already copyrighted. Here are their ages in 2015 .....Mylene was the first to sing. (23 years years old, 2nd youngest sister). She arranges all the vocals for the group: Followed by Irene (25 years old, 2nd oldest sister). She's the group's choreographer; Next is Almira (27 years old, the oldest sister). She is the belter of the group, who can hit the whistle note; Celina was the last to sing (19 years old, the youngest sister). She is the group's rapper, who can also hit the whistle note. They didn't win, and Simon Cowell did not sign them(his loss). I believe they didn't win, because they're not from the U.K. They have an older sister and a younger brother. Mom and dad, six children.

Just a couple of comments. First, many people reacting to this video think that at least part of the rap segment was in a language other than English. Not correct. The entire rap was done in English. It sounds different than the official Jessie J, Ariana Grande, Nicky Minaj music video because they are going through the song and the rap at a faster speed than the official video. Plus, they dropped a couple of lines that Nicky Minaj included in her rap on the official video. Although the official music video for Jessie, Ariana, and Nicky is much more professional and structured than the X Factor audition, the faster pace that 4th Power - 4th Impact used projected a higher energy level. Second, I read somewhere that Bang, Bang was not the song they intended to sing for the X Factor TV auditions. They had planned to sing one of the songs from a Disney movie. From frozen, if my memory is correct. The production staff for X Factor told them to change the song after they had arrived for the audition. Reason given was that ballad type songs didn't usually generate a big audience response. They were asked (told???) by the X Factor production team to do Bang, Bang, which they had performed a month or two earlier in one of the early pre-TV auditions during which the production staff choose which acts will make it to the TV broadcasts. Think about how much energy they put into the performance. Then consider that they were able to do that with only one or two days of rehearsal on their own after not having done the song for a month or more. That takes a great performance and elevates it to fantastic.

I am an American, but I lived in Japan for 20 years, oddly enough I worked for a UK based company. I've met a number of people who are from all reaches of the world. Some visiting Japan and some relocating to Japan. I have noticed that Brits (people from the UK) and Americans were the most English only monolingual people. In a lot of Asian countries, English is compulsory. In Japan it is an option although most common. Thus, I speak and read (my writing in Japanese is not very good and unless using a computer, I can barely write Japanese at all). The Brits or Americans, who are multilingual the second language is Spanish. A Japanese woman who live in Brazil spoke Portuguese and Spanish. One Japanese woman also spoke Bengali. The majority of the Japanese only speak Japanese. So, for my in-laws, I have to speak in Japanese. My children are bi-lingual. My wife is Japanese, and now has started speaking more in English. It depends on where you are or move to, more than anything.

Thank you for your RV for 4th Impact. They have now evolved into one of our best artists. In 2013 they also competed in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) at that time they were known as The Gollayan Sisters . You would enjoy watching that video, and happy to say, in all the different categories of singing in that competition, the winners have all been from the Philippines. Could you also react to the audition at the 2023 American Idol of Canadian-Filipino Tyson Venegas. His rendition of New York State of Mind is simply amazing.🥰

Please respond to this question: HOW IN THE HELL DID THEY NOT BECOME INSTANT SUPERSTARS AFTER THAT AUDITION? I've seen it happen for other artists but I just looked up their net worth and it was only $64,400 dollars according to Wikipedia, and that was as of 8/8/2024! I don't see how that can be possible with talent like those young ladies possess! They must have the worst management or publicist that has ever shit behind shoe leather!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!! They should be headlining concerts in College Football Stadiums that are completely sold out! I love everything about them! I hope that they see this review you just gave them, as well as, my comment!

There is no real language used there . Rather there are endless dialects , but most of the people there speak at least some English . It is taught in their schools .

In the Philippines, they speak Filipino English and some Spanish all mixed together. React to Gigi De Lana if you haven't already, what an amazing voice. The song is "Piano in the Dark." You are guaranteed to be blown away

The schools in the Philippines teach English pretty early. Also I sometimes feel like all Filipinos have a natural talent for singing...but for some reason it skipped me. For real though. Great reaction

I don't know if it's true, but I heard the producers actually brought them over to audition after they were in another talent show called Superstar K. Their Six-Chair Challenge is also insane. While they rip up the stage, the camera cuts hilariously to a contestant who's terrified to follow them. They were my tip to win, but Celina started having health issues, and, if I remember, fainted a few times. For my money, it definitely resulted in a (totally understandable under the circumstances) dip in quality. They finished fifth. And RIP presenter Caroline Flack, who took her own life 5 years after this. #bekind
