We booked a balcony cabin (10540). No complaints at all - but then again, NCL wasn't trying to asphyxiate us either!

Same here. I had to flush the toilet for it to stop. It's very annoying at 2 am!

Tom, have you been on Virgin yet? I found the balcony cabin very roomy for my friend and I. The cruise was 8 nights in the Caribbean and was the best vaca ever...

Thank you for the tip. I do plan on sailing with Virgin either at the end of this year or start of 2025. My next cruise will be on MSC (next week), followed by Princess and Celebrity. I am very excited to check out Virgin. How was the food? I heard it's very different concept.

My first ever cruise was on the Monarch of the Seas which has since been scrapped. One of the gentlemen in our group was a very large guy and he literally couldn't use the toilet in the room which forced him to use the public facilities. To top it off, he was a bit shy and was opposed to using public facilities. I don't think he ever did another cruise after that, lol I definitely wouldn't like the room in the video if it is that noisy.

It was either sit on the toilet side ways or walk up a few decks to use the public rest rooms. To be honest, that exhaust smell kept us out of the room for as long as possible. I was considering sleeping in the lounger outside.

The bathrooms are NOT the same - the balcony bathrooms have the toilet on one side and the tub on the other, each can be closed off by a sliding glass panel.

Tom. I gave up on NCL many years ago after getting nickeled and dimed. Wasn’t a very pleasant cruise.

I agree. The nickle and diming is very annoying. I'll talk about that in my dining guide, but this was on another level. Exhaust smell was horrible.
