Super SICK bro!! Great job!! Mesh on those openings would help out the rigidity. You could always make some magnetic covers for each of the vents to cover them up in an emergency downpour. Looks awesome man!!

You should put a mesh around the inside to help support the cuts and keep them in place plus it look kinda sick

@@AaronNewman to make the mesh cutouts as precise as possible, I’d take cardboard or something like that and map out the cuts perfectly. That’s is for the mesh of course. Best of luck dawg

There may be a solution to not getting water nor snow in your engine bay with hood vents ,but not sure hence I am asking. There is something called rain guards for hood vents but I am not sure if they work nor if they also guard the air away

😂 I was thinking going to do the same to my nissan hardbody pickup hood but I'm starting to rethink it because it's my money maker wouldn't be able to drive it during the rain because battery and alternator can get wet 😢 😂 unless I have 2 hoods one for rain and the cut one for summer 😂 I believe the cuts in the summer will definitely help the engine but not during rain unless you customize a cover for the hood during rain

Aaron good job on that hood. Instead of hood vents, I would prefer functional fender Gills or Vents similar to Mercedes. That way you don't have to worry about rain/dirt pouring in the engine compartment. Keep up the good work.

Thanks man! I definitely agree about the water issue. Luckily I have a daily and I choose not to drive this thing in the rain at all and keep it in the garage. The fenders look really nice with vents too so I’m thinking about cutting them as well
