Holy moly dude. I’m not the only person like this out there! I HATED when high waisted became the only thing around for so so long. I have a short waist and I can’t stand the feeling of being slowly swallowed by my pants. I do as much shopping on secondhand sites so I can find the early 2000s jeans and pants but sometimes I love everything about the pant EXCEPT the rise. Always wanted to know how to alter them. And once I actually learn how to use my sewing machine, I’m going to be doing this a bunch! Super glad I stumbled on this.

Can i ask what did u do for the zipper part of the pants??🥲

I just cut in between prongs with regular scissors, soooo easy. Then when sewing over the zipper, I just use the hand wheel on the machine to slowly stitch over and make sure the needle doesn't go down directly on the metal. That's it! Oh and DON'T forget when cutting to put the zipper all the way down..
