Using a go pro welding. My friend kept replacing the lenses I simply was there and said watch this. I grabbed a piece of glass and placed it in front of of his go pro. He said later that night he moved it around but welded up a frame. That hooked up to his tripod for the glass to sit in front of his camera. Now he uses it all the time and he has not replaced a go pro lense in two years

Looking good Mike😮 keep up the good work I've been there it will all come together at least you got a garage to work in had to fix mine outside LOL
@stephenwest7989 ай бұрын
Rust is a curse on the working man who has to do his own work, but as I watch it reminds me of why I'm pulling the body off the frame when I do my TJ just as I did my CJ5, easier to do the body and the frame when you don't have everything in the way. You're gaining but it does take time but will be worth it in the end.
@SmokinMonkeyOG9 ай бұрын
Ya I wish we had the space to do it with the body completely off. Would make for a much easier repair but you gotta work with what you got. It’s an upgrade from working in the parking lot like I always do lol
@stephenwest7989 ай бұрын
Yea I know what you mean I worked out in the weather for years but finally was able to afford a garage which I built with a little help from friends and family, makes life a lot easier and warmer also as it is heated. However, if I break on the trail like everyone else it is repair or tow until it is on the trailer and back into the garage.@@SmokinMonkeyOG

It’s coming along nicely. I was on vacation and I’m catching up. They sell those fenders on Amazon and quadratec for $150 each, but they will just get banged up again

Hey Mike just a WILD THOUGHT HERE. On the "Rebirthing" of BIG BIRD I WAS THINKING, I BELIEVE TODD AND YOURSELF SHOULD GO OUT ON THE INITIAL JOURNEY / MAIDEN VOYAGE, IT'S TERMINATOR BODY VOYAGE... The 2 of you rebuilt B.B. so i just felt it rigt the 2 of you should have the FIRST RIDE BACK OUT...
@SmokinMonkeyOG9 ай бұрын
That’s the plan. But I believe Todd will be in his rig

Hey Monkey/ Mike , lol I KNOW you really DIDNT WANT TO SALE BIRD, BUT I TRIED. If i would hav bought her from you, she would have worn DIAMOND PLATING 9/10 CHANCES UNDERNEATH THE FLOOR PANS... YOUR DOING 1 HELLA JOB. I've got enough body blocks to give ya a 3" lift all around, but that's here in BAMA. ROLL TIDE ROLL
@SmokinMonkeyOG9 ай бұрын
Thanks man!! I actually have the rest of the body lift blocks just not the rear ones for some reason lol

I enjoy the rebuild..but wouldn't it have been cheaper to acquire a better condition TJ?
@SmokinMonkeyOG9 ай бұрын
Definitely not. Around here a clean one goes for around 10K and it will still have some rust here and there. If I bought one from down south maybe but that would cost even more

She what's up with you i have a great idea for you buy you a locka locker for your front hogs head and your jeep will be so much better and you can Go up climbs so much easier and it takes away so much stress on your components and the cost is only about 250 bucks
