Took a small load of ACRs, aluminum, brass and copper to the scrap yard yesterday and was VERY pleased with the prices right now. When I was a trashman, I would collect any metal and wire and make about 600$ a month just off stuff people threw away. If I could have had a truck follow me around all day, I could have made more in scrap then I did working. Couldn't take everything but boy if I coulda.

I can't say it enough on how much I love your channel, I think you have a very cool job and I respect the work you do. I won't lie but I hate when you get those cars & trucks crushed for scrap but I get it, you can't keep them all and you have bills and a family to take care of but needless to say it still brings tears to my eyes saying goodbye to those classics. Aside from all that you are a very likeable person with smart work ethic that I enjoy watching every time you post. Keep up the great work brother. Wayne from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Love it. Hate when people get upset when they don't want to pay you what you want for something, then complain when it doesn't get saved. You tried! I have a Honda Scrambler right now up for sale, it will easily part out for double what I'm asking, and all I get are the ridiculously low offers acting like they are doing me a huge favor. I gave them the chance, oh well.

I enjoy watching your video's, and the smile on your face tells me you get enjoyment out of making them - It's odd that no one wants a front bumper with those noses - I have made several benches out of early 50's noses, but that takes a lot of time.

I saw the inner fenders of the bus, and they had a cool louvered pattern. I know that the bus is gone, but louvered panels like that might make a good hood for a rat rod, or part of some wall art. Maybe add some tear drop lights on them for a better look.

Is that a VW Rabbit in the background? They used to be a dime a dozen, but today they're collectors items! Your judgement on the balance of profit versus investment is spot-on, Silas. Sad to see the green Dodge sedan get cut up, but in the end, it's about making your business grow and turning a profit to feed and cloth the family.

no they are not! headlight doors are panels that flip up or down over the headlights usually by a vacuum actuator which were on a lot of various luxury cars from the mid 60's to the mid 80's headlight rings or bezels are just that.

Funny. Never heard of one of those as a "whizz wheel". Hilarious, actually, because here I'm asking, "What in the world is a 'whizz wheel'? Did steel fab for YEARS and we went through about a squillion and six of those things and for the entire time there, we always knew them as a "cut-off wheel". Hahahahahahaha!!!
