Great vlog, Nicole. Melbourne's weather is a mixed bag to be sure. You all did such an amazing job, no one broke down emotionally or anything. 👊👌👌👌👊

Sensational! Congratulations on your achievement, certainly one to be proud of! Could you do a video on the logistics, the types of bags you used on the bikes, what did you bring and whether there is anything you'd do differently?

Haha, I wanted to make it more like a 'in a nutshell' kind of thing so I didn't have to film too much and could just focus on enjoying the present moment more :) I can't believe you guys did it in 3 days... our asses were way too sore haha

Epic Nicole. But holy shit, old mate needs to get a bike fit asap if he doesn't want to destroy his SI joints. Looks hectic!!

Nourish by Nicole Yeah please do so. Looks pretty serious. I'm sure he would like to enjoy riding his bike for a lot more years to come! PS: what was that device on your knee you posted on Insta just then? Just curious as I used to have a mad knee injury.
@nicolemitsi7 жыл бұрын
Alex Swan not sure what its called but it uses an electrical current to help with inflammation. Used that in combination with acupuncture. Apparently just overuse from too much volume last week haha

Nourish by Nicole Haha yeah I can see how that could have happened with that kind of mileage! Impressive stuff. That Everest you did too. 👌🏻 You've come a long way! 💪🏻

Just stumbled on this years later , the tubes weird algorithm🤪 , nice effort anyway , I did initially wonder which route you took , I was thinking going the m8 might be a bit seriously scary on the bikes knowing the traffic getting along there , I drove that route in trucks years ago . you have inspired me to put this on my bucket list , im pushing mid 60`s so hopefully in the next couple of years if family commitments ease off and the ticker is still operating , I might give it a go😁. Well done anyway.

Hi Nicole, where could I find the actual route you took? I believe you can't cycle on the freeway between Adelaide and Murray Bridge (?)
@nicolemitsi6 жыл бұрын
We went along the coast mainly (along the Great Ocean Road). You can follow me on Strava (Nicole Mitsigeorgis) and go to February 2017 to see the route we took. It's split over 5-6 days. :)
@Jester123ish6 жыл бұрын
Just curious why you chose to cycle from Melbourne, was the prevailing winds anything to do with it? I'm told that in February you get more favorable conditions going that direction. We're planning to do the coastal route later this year, we're in Adelaide but some information suggests we should go Adelaide to Melbourne in Oct-Nov. Still doing research.
@nicolemitsi6 жыл бұрын
Jester123ish we chose to go from Melbourne because we liked the idea of riding home straight from melbourne airport. We were also on a budget and didn’t want to pay for accomodation in melbourne.
@Jester123ish6 жыл бұрын
I'm watching another video right now and I've just found out of course you get a better view from the road going east to west, and turning in to the carparks and scenic lookouts is simple. East to west it is then!
@nicolemitsi6 жыл бұрын
Jester123ish yes there is that too! :)

I'm seriously thinking on flying to Melbourne and do the same route, i recon i would do it in 2 days but i would have to get a nice place to stay for long sleep for at least 12 hours :P or try the wild camping version and do it in 3 days haha indypac style :D Great video, thanks for sharing :) can u post the places you stay along the coast, where those individual huts? Thanks and epic ride :)
@nicolemitsi7 жыл бұрын
You should do it!!!! :) We stayed at caravan parks mostly in a cabin. We stayed in Lorne, Warrnambool, Mt. Gambier, Kingston and Meningie. If you look up caravan parks in those places you will find them :)

Thank you for the tips, they will be handy for sure.

Not sure what's happening with your mates bike fit,... but it looks brutal. How'd he go? I think his crank arm length is way too long for his legs
@nicolemitsi7 жыл бұрын
I'll past that on lol

sorry for the question : do u've loose some kilos in a journey like that?!! ur not obliged to answer it's ok
@nicolemitsi7 жыл бұрын
No idea lol. I think I'm the same tbh! I ate a lot of processed food and sugar water to keep energy levels up. Its great for performance but not for weight loss. I lose more weight doing less exercise and eating more whole foods :)
