I understand Starla’s distaste for murder, but she doesn’t seem to truly understand the situation her mother was in. Anthony was not only a horrible person, he was in a high position of power. Anna couldn’t do anything against him that wouldn’t incriminate her in the process. He could always make her look like the bad guy and take her kids. It’s understandable why she felt like she had to take his life. What other option did she have? The baby is better off without Anthony as a father, he would’ve impacted them negatively without a doubt. If not directly then indirectly. (Just look at Alfons’ kids). The way Starla just continuously shames her mom feels so wrong. She even mocks her trauma at one point.
