The best part about the Laura/Shoresy interactions for me is that they showcase his cleverness, but none of his patented vulgarity. While he's being very upfront and using his wit to express how attracted to her he is, none of what he's saying is overtly sexual or graphic. From his track record on Letterkenny, you'd expect him to be saying "I'd jump in front of a train just to (something disgusting) to you" but all of his metaphors end up being wholesome. That's one thing a lot of younger guys fuck up. There's actually nothing inherently creepy about expressing sexual interest in a woman, It's about how you do it. You can be aggressive and respectful at the same time. Women (especially attractive women) can read men like 70 pt font magazine covers. They already know what you want, but jumping the gun and saying "I want to fuck the shit of you." Shows two things: 1. You're immature. 2. You're not comfortable having a conversation with Women, so you're overcompensating for your nervousness by trying to close right away. One key thing to notice here is that while Shoresy is flirting with Laura pretty much nonstop, he's not falling over himself to close the deal or giving her any "Do you want to do this or not?" ultimatums. He's actually enjoying the conversation and the PROCESS of winning her over. This is definitely less relevant in a bar or club scene where it is completely possible to make out with a girl five seconds after meeting her, but in a protracted setting where you're actually trying to get the girl to like you, this is the way to do it.

yeh man, a close buddy of mine that's really into literature and good scene writing said the the use of real local people/places/things inherently give all of the characters and believable and therefore relatable nature, even if you're not from the area. just because of the human nature of being attached to similar types of local landmarks, celebrities, etc. don't want to give him the satisfaction of saying he was right, but i can't prove him wrong either. :-P also, Camille Sullivan (Lara Mahr) is stated as being born in Toronto, which is very close to Sudbury but says she's "from" BC, on the West Coast... Not sure how reliable any of that info is or if even relevant. But it does bring a lot of realism to the cast and dialog knowing that these people know these place well and aren't just reading script. Same as the fact that Hitch, JJ and 2 of the Jims were pro hockey players and Dolo is actually an ex-pro hockey player that pivoted to the rap game. God bless Keeso, and I really hope he realizes that me posting these clips is just paying homage and finding a place/way for us to discuss the wonderful work he and the rest of the cast/crew are doing!

Show is called Shoresy. If you've seen Letterkenny, Shoresy was the hockey player that was always on the toilet talking trash about wheeling jonesy and reilly's moms. Jared Keeso played both roles, Wayne and Shoresy, but was careful when assuming the Shoresy character to stay in the bathroom stall, keep face away from camera or use a tinted visor when on the hockey field. This show aired May 27th of this year, and is safe to say that Keeso is just as invested in it as he was in Letterkenny. So you can expect many more seasons.
