Though Jodie says she's a jolly funny girl, I do believe it when she takes direction and gives a serious side to her performances. Just knowing she's had to fight upstream against ALW's and CM's preferences for Jessie *without* losing her talent or confidence makes Jodie, IMHO, a deserving Nancy and a winner.

No one can tell you what you can or can't be. I have a lot of respect for Cameron, but that was a stupid thing to say to someone with amazing talent. Jodie deserved to be Nancy.

Sweetheart, Cameron Mackintosh is gay I'm pretty sure he didn't fancy Jessie, he just wanted a younger girl for the role. Him and Jodie clashed a lot. But, she's totally the right person for the job, she's amazing

Cameron was right, she's has a nice voice, and believable, but she doesn't have 'it." She is not a leading lady though... and, it may sound harsh, but she's to big for the roll.
