Just to clarify here - this bit of the show is supposed to be about 'last year's winner', to show how they well they have done since they won (Connie, the HYDSAPLM winner, performed on last year's ADWD final and Jodie will appear on next year's, assuming there is one). It also serves the purpose of 'filling in' time while they count the votes. I actually thought it was a good idea using the Olivers as 'back-up' singers - they could have used the choir who actually perform in 'Joseph'.

I think Jodie and Gwion would have chemistry as well. Jodie just has that warm motherly side most of the time she's around the boys. I think most of the people who watched wanted Alex, Jonny, and Chester, but if they're casting dodger, I hope Chester tries for it. I don't think I can see Alex or Jonny as the Dodger. They're both too innocent seeming and clean cut.

I'm assuming you must have been in the studio, because the only time Denise was shown on TV was when Lee was asked who his favourite Nancy was - which occured after his performance. Denise would probably have been nervous for Lee, but I doubt she was in any way uncomfortable.

I don't want to offend anyone, but I really feel this song was about LEE and not the OLIVERS. It seems to me they (the Olivers) were just back up singers so that LEE could look good. And to He*l with the backup. This show should have been about the Olivers and Nancys and the impact it had on the world. I say world because it was intended to be a UK show but it got the publicity to reach ever corner of the earth. If I am wrong about this opinion Please let me know respectfully. David
