Alina of the Arena Part 1 - can't believe I didn't find this game earlier, its vibes are absolutely legendary. I also love the strategy and deckbuilding aspects of it too, but with the gladiatorial underground fighting ring theming, this game's got something for everyone.

I don’t know how much this game has been changed since I last saw it but it was so hard I witnessed multiple channels quit this game just because of how unfairly difficult it was, how much the game punished you for making minor mistakes, and just how frustrating it was. It was a shame because the concept was super fun though so if those things have been changed you should have a ton of fun!

​@@Aliensrock I've been playing this one for a while, actually- picked it up because Backpack Hero and Peglin were bundled with it. Playing at the highest difficulty is still extremely tight. It's a ton of fun- I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

@@Aliensrock A man with this kind of attitude is needed to play my favourite game, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. I doubt I can get the Patreon to vote on it though, and it takes too long to be good for KZbin. So many KZbinrs quit, because they don't understand the mechanics, and end up being frustrated. They just need to read the tutorial info properly, and then let their imagination run. You could probably even comment on it properly. Anyway, maybe check it out for your free time. It's my absolute goat game.

Y’know, you said during the final fight that Barricade would’ve been better, but I really think that Bloodcurse is the reason you were able to survive. That healing really came in clutch when you had to sacrifice a bunch of block for damage.

This game seems really fun, always down for a Slay The Spire-esque rogue-like. The added mechanic of movement seems like such a small thing but proper positioning makes a huge difference in combat.

Not sure why Tyler kept saying he would die if he blocked. The blood curse shield said it didn't deal lethal damage, unless I just misread it.

I was pretty frustrated that Tyler kept forgetting that the bloodcurse shield can't kill him in that last fight. He even read it earlier! Overall 8/10 video, this game is a great to watch roguelike, it might fuel my roguelike/deckbuilder addiction. And Tyler somehow pulling it through with such a well-made deck was exciting

one of the cool techs you can do is swap weapons between turns / enemies by keeping weapons in your potion slots and picking the weapon you want - maybe the power attack of a + range weapon is important for some enemies, etc.
