You had a very different build this time. This was focus and retain based, while the last one was fatigue. All decks are going to need some kind of block ability, and it seems like parry is just kinda the best thing for that since you can buff attack really easily but not really defense. I think that’s the biggest issue, there’s no real good way of blocking. You’re also going to have some of the same good cards in your deck if those cards are support cards. They fit in every deck. Just my opinion, that probably won’t be read anyway.

i mean... thats the cool part, _not_ every deck needs block you can actually do surprisingly well just relying on movement, sure there are some situations that get dangerous without good block but theyre usually survivable stuff like bows/crossbows and spears are great for this, since they let you hit enemies youre not adjacent to, and there's skills/powers that help a lot too that said, when you _are_ relying on block, parry is still really good and it's probably gonna show up in block-based decks a lot even then tho there are at least a few other ways to get lets of block, like stacking the buff that makes each card give more block

Hey quick tip I learned from Slay the Spire: If you only have statuses in your hand at the end of turn, retain them if you aren't drawing a full hand next turn. You're drawing 5 cards per turn and your hand size is at max 10 cards. If you retain them, you are guaranteed to draw 5 cards from your deck, so your hand will be 5 normal cards + 2 statuses. You still have 5 options to choose from. If you do not retain the statuses, however, they get reshuffled into your deck. So your next turn may be 4 normal cards + 1 status for your hand. Even worse, it can be 3 normal cards + 2 statuses, so you only have 3 options to choose from for the next turn. Therefore, if you have a retain option at the end of your turn, you should always use it. If you have a great card you want to use next turn, it's available. If you have bad or mediocre cards, retaining them lets you draw more of the better ones. The only exception is if you plan on drawing a bunch of cards in the next turn, where the retained cards would get in the way of you drawing your better cards.

26:45 In this fight, it looks like you were maybe supposed to dodge the curses, or at least fear them, but you embraced the curse and it actually made you much stronger. A parry with twice the damage makes you impossible to kill, and then when they hit you for twice as much, it just means you get stronger twice as fast with focus, giving more parry damage, giving more shield, and on and on.

Ground slam + is absolutely broken because it's a free hit that scales with your shield, and you can now hit 7 tiles, doesn't exhaust and lets you move

Some ideas for other builds: Build around Jab (I like pairing this with daggers/bleed) Fire build Focus build (You used focus a bit here, but there's a lot more cards that work with it. Issen is one of my favorites). A heavy rain build

It appears you have a tendency to ignore/throw away perfectly viable weapons - perhaps something to work on to improve your skills in this game ;) Like, at 7:20 , you threw away the Katana which seemed to be a straight-up upgrade to the rusty sword you were using (EDIT: looks like katana's don't have AoEs, so it was probably for the best). And at the end of your last run, you ignored a perfectly good weapon on the floor instead of equipping it for a significant damage boost after you sold your previous weapon.

There aren't many different cards yet because you need to unlock them by defeating new elites,also,special weapons (the ones with a flame symbol) have special abilities you can use X times per battle by clicking the flame symbol on top of the weapon during battle,there are some pretty broken combos by using that. Also, playing with crossbows changes a lot how the game is played.
