I decided to LT4 swap my Escalade...it's completely ridiculous!

My shop and I continue the Escalade project we started on a couple months back. Adding an LT4 supercharger, custom cam and headers to the factory 6.2L engine that comes in the Escalade. I wanted a 600hp daily driver vehicle. This video has the majority of the project so enjoy!

I drove my Escalade from Oregon to the Mexico border last summer. The Japanese luxury SUV's could not keep up with N/A power much less if I had this package. 80-100 mph constantly, average 18mpg for the trip in the July heat. this unsuspecting cow won first place in every category including my 10 year old boys own kids condo in the back. It's fun to see the look on the Lexus drivers face pulling away going uphill with the V-8 roar. (Audi, BMW, Acura were all in the same slower maxxed out gears situation)

It is still a LT4... but indeed has a much larger blower... these guys uses the 1.7... the V will come with the 2.65 unit... almost 700 to crank... pretty impressive

@@akidim13 Overall 6.2"s, is the 6.6 HD truck a punched out 6.2? Or is it a clean sheet design? The reason I ask is because of both engines being direct injected.

@@frankbob4043 they are the same block design. Both LT motors. 6.6 is lower compression built for truck duty. The 6.2 is high compression. 6.2 in the trucks is part number for part number identical to the 6.2 in the camaro and vette. The only differences being intake/exhaust manifolds and the accessory routing.

You guys ever encounter a problem after tuning to where the vehicle does half cranks and doesn't fire? Did a f35 cam swap on my 08 escalade. Before tune it started everytime but idled bad. After tune is when the issue started. Installed a vats disabled ecm and she starts everytime no issues. Maybe my tune is bad? If i unplug the battery with the tuned ecm she will start once or 2x but almost never 3x

My neighbor pulled up in a early 2000 escalade he recently bought and my dad asked him about it , he said it had a 6.2l 😂 it was just a lm7 with a muffler delete the worst part was he really thought it was a 6.2 and until i popped the hood in my tahoe and showed him i had the same engine .

This was such a great idea I started to head down this path with my 2016 Escalade ESV. I found a used ZL1 LT4 blower, did you use a Corvette blower from a specific year? - Do you know if the 2017 - 2020 Camaro Zl1 LT$ blower will work on the L86 Escalade block without any issues?

mine is a 6.2 L92... BTR stage 4 cam... BTR dual springs... BTR pushrods... vortech V3 super charger ... 3.33 pulley ... makes 610 RWHP... on 93 octane.... the LT4 super charger is a cheap way to go.. as far as charger...but i didnt have to use a water tank... and pump ... but makes good power for a daily

Would love to see you guys try something out similar to interchiller. Use ac to cool iat Temps and could even be done with 12v compressor instead of belt driven. Guys are getting Temps under 40 degrees on hot days

@@slowgoat6089 basically you have a small ac compressor either 12v or belt driven. It cools a closed loop of coolant/water that runs through an intercooler/plate mounted in between the heads and intake. It can chill your intake air into the 40s Fahrenheit. Eliminates having to use an ice box
