Thank you for sharing all of this ! :) This illustration is lovely ! I hope my comment is not crossing a line but you've said multiple time that you did something that was harmful to you "for no reason" and it made me want to share a thought that helped me a lot. As an over-achiever myself, I used to resent my past self for my harmful behaviors and it made me feel worse. Until I understood that these behaviors were patterns I've learned from an unhealthy and dangerous environment. Being a perfectionist, people-pleaser, over-worker, etc was the only way I could feel safe and loved in these past circumstances. I'm happy to say now that I've learned new tools to feel loved and safe without harming myself. I'm also grateful my past self developed these "harmful" tools at the time as they were the only ressources I could afford to survive. I did my best with what was given to me at the time but the goal was always to protect me, even if it cost me a lot.

(I was surprised to hear the voice in Portuguese as soon as I started the video, even though it was AI-generated. Now I can understand what you're saying and focus better on the drawing process, as I previously had to rely on KZbin's automatic subtitles.) 😄

I adore your digital painting style so much! One thing I’d love to see from your art is more character interaction. I feel like giving your characters an object or a friend can really help in telling a visual story. Think Norman Rockwell or J.C. Leyendecker!

Yes, I need to do this! I am already experimenting with character interaction in my sketchbook thanks to your suggestion ☺️

I really appreciate you being so thoughtful and talking about your process and what you think you were missing by zooming in incredibly close. The point about using mismatched line weights makes so much sense when you are working digitally and it's so easy to just change the size quickly. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you! It's crazy how much little things can totally change the final image.

You can try watercolor brush, gouache brush, oil brush. It's all fun to experiment and people might be interested bcoz of the textures that look like traditional art

I love seeing those effects in other digital artists' work, I need to experiment with different types of brushes!

Personally I love the digital art content a lot. I feel like voice overs would do better than just a speed paint with music. Would really appreciate if you would talk about different techniques like shading different parts of the anatomy, blocking in colors and making everything come together 🫶

I appreciate it! I am planning a lighting video soon that will be more technical.

i would love to see you do an illustration that takes place under the sea, like a mermaid!
