Hi Jarrod. What if the tdom for better return just changed for 2022 and forward?

Larry uses TDOM but he says he enters the following day not the day of

how do you define a trading day within multicharts? for example if the market is closed on New Year's day, how do you code it so that it does not count New Year's as a trading day?

Am I seeing this correctly...it appears this strategy yields less than a buy and hold strategy on the SPY, over the same time period.

Yes that may be true, though you don’t have 50% drawdowns , or the risk of holding an ETF for 8+years to break even.
