The system appeared to have a bad year in 2023 and has since picked up again. After some statistical analysis I now trade 6 hours instead of the original 1 or 2 hours. Thanks to You Mate, I have realistic expectations for this bullrun. Got into crypto early this year and I have truly learned a lot from you about cycles, crypto and markets as a whole. Now I know that all assets/markets are heavily tied to eachother and global economy has very high impact on Crypto. 30% in 10 years is 3% profit per year, for small account of 10k that's 300buck a year , will not cover even the electricity bill for a month of trading

The truth is that the profit/loss ratio for the average winning and average loosing trade is around 1/10. I wouldn't trade such a strategy which could lose 10 times more at once than 1 single average winning trade.

We can't say "a Risk Reward Ratio of 2:1" doesn't work. It depends on your strategy, the market and your win-rate ratio.

For the 2021-2024 data, why is the average loss $1700 if the stop-loss is $2500?

Your daily data doesn't account for days where the price moved 250 pips from your entry and stopped you out.

Almost all the profit occurred in the first 2 years. Start the system any time after the first 2 years and it's a terrible system.

Hello, I have a strategy on EURGBP on the daily chart. It a mean reversion, buy at round number per 100pips under the 200ema. ( 0.8800, 0.8700, 0.8600). TP on the current 200ema value and SL 600pips. We do the opposite for shorts.

I find it really baffling that all the major crypto KZbinrs are only looking at pure waves and completely ignoring the broader narrative of why BTC is pumping and why the future outlook may not be as optimistic as it seems. It's kind of irresponsible to note the fact that every ETF launch so far has caused a major spike in BTC's spike. Already on shaky ground with historically low volume and near pure whale pumps, we narrowly avoided a simple bear market........ I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 210k to a decent 932k in the space of a few months... Don't you think that the context for the yen has changed fundamentally in the last 4 months? Has the carry trade with the yen ended or not? Do you remember what happened on August 5th? The last few months have been particularly negative for the strategy. Maybe it's time to ....

If any strategy can survive (or profit) , during the periods between 11/1/2019 and 3/31/2020, ,1/1/2022 and 12/31/2022, and 10/27/2007 and 3/3/08, it is a strong strategy. I would encourage you to implement additional survivability back tests, beginning on the day the market crashes, the worst day to initiate a long investment, and run them until the day the downturn ends.

you didnt need to write condition 2 in a separate statement, you could have just concatenated the condition2 statement to the end of condition 1 statement, excluding of course the name, condition2.
