I just realized a large part of why I like your channel. Your dad reminds me so much of my dad. I lost my dad when I was 15 years old. He was nearly 51 years old. A hard working, family man that loved his family and loved God. He was always happy with the small things in life. When I heard your dad describe the perfect Christmas gift (the boot warmers), I realized how much he was like my dad. He always liked trying to be funny, no matter how corny his humor came out. In the videos, I can tell how much he loves you and is so proud of you when you see him first thing in the morning and he says a big, "Hi Cole". He is just about bursting at the seams with joy. It's so refreshing to see your whole family and how they interact with each other. It took me a long time to get over the death of my father because we were so close. As I was watching this, so many memories came flooding back to me along with many tears. A lot of people don't realize that it's only love that makes life so rich. We try to find it in so many other things. Thanks for sharing your family on KZbin and God bless you all.

Cole, you don't have to be exciting, just take us along! I'm fairly certain many others agree. And Momma Cornstar throwing shade, lol! RIP GoPro, bummer footage was lost.
I absolutely love that your family takes care of the community through your funerary service..the forgotten but so very important part of the process..nobody sees you, yet what you do is so vital to the process...as a nurse, I was often the last person to see someone alive...as a grave digger, you are often the last person to see them to their eternal rest.. that connection is a very special and precious thing 🙏

My husband and I swerved off an icy/snowy road out in the middle of nowhere one time while trying to find a new friends house. It was a windy and freezing January. We had our small son and baby girl in the car with us. It was before cell phones so there was such a feeling of total panic. A wonderful cemetery sexton on his way to dig a grave was driving by and he pulled us out of the ditch. I don't know why I remembered this and felt it worth making a comment. I guess I just feel that you guys are a very special and caring breed and deserve so much respect. Love your family.

Cole I find it interesting when you talk about the grain going into your tank. I can't speak for everybody else, but I don't hear about that every day like you do. It's interesting to me to see just how much work it takes, and how hard it is to get it clean and keep it clean and then get it stored and get it to the giant grain silos and stored on the farm.

My husband (retired farmer) passed away suddenly a week before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, your grave digging footage touched me. Unfortunately, the terrible owner of the cemetery where my husband’s family is buried (and our plots are) refused to open our grave because he was too busy. And there you and your dad are, dropping everything to do this important service to a grieving family, even in the middle of harvest season that has been never ending.
