This mod was basically my introduction to modded Minecraft; played it on my first multiplayer server too. It was good enough to introduce me to machines and such, but in so many ways it was clunky and inefficient. At once point I remember being severely bottlenecked by Iridium, and I had to climb a long grinding process of trying to manufacture Iridium from energy from solar panels, so that I could make more solar panels to make more Iridium. Plus, the machinery had a bad habit of exploding and destroying blocks, some of which were very difficult to replace. Later on, I found other mods and modpacks that gave the same functionality, but were much more streamlined.

would you happen to recommend any?

@@catlife6027 It's been a while since I played Minecraft at all, modded or not. I'm not entirely sure where the Minecraft mod situation's at, but assuming things haven't fundamentally changed, there's a short list I can recommend if your interest is in the automation/machine area; I never really had much interest in the magic related mods. In no particular order: 1 - Applied Energistics 2 (computerized network that allows storage, sorting, autocrafting of complex items by auto-making lesser components from created patterns, etc.) 2 - Just Enough Items (lets you know what items are made of, and what items make; important for figuring out crafting in complex modpacks) 3 - Big Reactors (let's you create modular nuclear reactors that can provide a ton of power with minimal upkeep and observation) 4 - Biomes O' Plenty (biome back to help add some more interesting locations, though one is I believe infectious, hostile, and can spread if you don't tweak it's config file) 5 - MalisisDoors (lets you create customized doors with various functionalities, including opening automatically for player but not mobs) 6 - Redstone Arsenal (let's you create power weapons and tools that use energy instead of durability, and have enhanced functions) 7 - Thermal Expansion (wide range of machines and infrastructure to do many things, a good way to get into basic automation and help feed more advanced mods) 8 - Agricraft (lets you breed plants so you can grow an infinite amount of many resources; a time sink if you're looking to make everything you might need, but well worth the effort when you can grow as much diamond/gold/iron/quartz/etc. as you need) 9 - MineFactory Reloaded (another machine/infrastructure pack; a bit more specialized than others, but still a solid addition depending on your need) 10 - Extra Utilities (very small and specific machines that allow you to do particular things very well, like infinite water block and a cobble/stone/obsidian generator) 11 - Mekanism (machine/infrastructure pack that's basically very good at processing resources and getting the biggest bang for your buck, plus other things as well) 12 - Thermal Dynamics (a separate but related mod to Thermal Expansion, basically more of the same) 13 - BuildCraft (another machine/infrastructure mod, somewhat mediocre, but it could have some machines that fill a niche in your setup)

@@catlife6027if you want a chill playthrough play All The Mods 9, it has everything from tech, to magic, to exploration. If you want tech heavy modpacks, I'd recommend the one and only GregTech New Horizons, very grindy and hard, incredibly hard, but fun, has magic as well, but is 1.7.10. If you dislike the sound of grindy and hard, try Nomifactory CEu, more chill than GregTech New Horizons, easier, but has 3 times less mods and no magic mods and is for 1.12.2 and incredibly optimized. There's also Enigmatica modpacks, Enigmatica 2 Expert is the most popular, there's also Divine Journey 2. If you want something very new, FTB NeoTech looks very fun and unique. Pick your poison :)

Hey, great video. There is a block called Energy Collector (and some other blocks related), which basically generates EMC with sun power (or by just being exposed to the sky, I can't remember right), and you can make some great setups to farm EMC. If you want to fix that you can avoid talking directly into the mic, having it either below your chin or off to the side but still pointing towards your mouth should help reduce it. Try different angles and distances till you get a good balance of sound and reduction of breath noise.
