A fun episode on a fun series. I would like to point out though that your dry calc on Barrows at the end of the episode is off. You took the baseline expected chest per item assuming all brothers killed, but early in your account got a decent chunk of your KC with only one brother killed for early mind runes, so you're probably closer to on rate taking that into consideration.

Yea that is true. I did about 50 chests of 1 brother killed which is 3 less inquest so I should have expected 6 more uniques then the 9 I said in the video that one was my bad

A question about barrows. Why are people killing all brothers when they are farming for 1-2 items? Wouldn't it be way more time efficient to kill just the brother you need? In your case Ahrim and Karil? And just skip melee brothers? That would increase chest count per hour significantly. Because as far as I remember you don't get higher drop chance for your needed item if you kill all brothers. You get a higher chance to get a drop, but not higher chance to get the drop.

So with how the math works it only ever comes out better to not kill all 6 in leagues. The reason for it is due to killing any brother gives you +1 roll on the droptable for the max of 7 rolls. I'm not exactly sure on the math for it but I know it isn't efficient to farm just 1 or 2 brothers.

Yeah it's 0.0085% chance if you do all 7 and 0.0033% chance if you do only 2 so unless it's about 3 times faster it's better to do all 7

If it gets down to one brother for 2/4 items and you only kill 1 brother the per chance for a specific item actually drops to 0.0025% but idk if killing just one is faster than not

its because of the time it takes to kill one brother is faster than the time it takes to find which mound has the stairs and complete it. when you do all 7 you get 7 slightly "worse "rolls if going for a specific item. if you're a restricted account or otherwise hitting like wet toilet paper for whatever reason, and only need one brother's loot, then it should be faster to just kill the one and find the chest.

Basically it comes down to time spent running around in the tunnels vs time spent increasing the roll numbers. especially on an account like this where most of the time is spent walking in and out of the large crypt, it's better to kill more brothers even if they add their items to the pool of rollable items, each brother adds a loot roll that may hit any piece. It's also somewhat less demotivating to get 'something' more often compared to killing one brother and averaging like a hundred empty chests in between drops. Personally I'd still skip torag every time after completing his set, because screw that guy.

Question, I finished watching your compiled movie of the first 20 episodes and you mentioned once while doing the wildy bosses that you couldn't get the Rev weapons. Why couldn't you get the revenant Maledictus? Doing world hopping to find them can get them pretty fast. I feel the drops from this boss in both alchs, uniques, and resources could be pretty useful.

Because Ironman can't attack this boss with other people. If someone damages it I can't get the loot. Which would mean I would have to find one that hasn't been attacked then kill it and only have a like 1/3k of getting a weapon. It's just very unrealistic

Just finished binging the series. I would think it'd be amazing if you could provide the exception to do DT to unlock nex but restrict yourself to use any of the benefits from finishing DT like the spell book. Exceptions to unlock more bosses without the benefit of the quests rewards would be nice for the series. You could also drop some runes that would give you 20k Magic exp which would negate the exp reward from the quest. I think this would be nice as exceptions like this would also give you access to DT2 bosses if you proceeded with the quest line.

Really enjoyed the episode, I was curious about desert treasure not being completable with your rules. Since DT is required for DT2, which unlocks 4 bosses, there is an argument to be made that completing it to unlock these bosses can be allowed? Then again less exceptions feels better sometimes and I don't know the ruleset that well so feel free to ignore this.

Yeah so I don't just do quests on this account to unlock bosses. I only do the quests that either need no items, the items I get from bosses or items that are labeled as quest items. So DT1 has some items I can't get that aren't labeled as quest items on the wiki as well. So thats how it locks me out :)

Killing them doesn't increase your chances for armour. It only gets you in a higher loot bracket for better runes
