Strong second for me, Zeeree still #1 with his humor. Fulton has had the best quality pulls lately.

Haha. Appreciate the kind words. You guys know I do it for education not monetization. Much diff demos and drivers. I’m like an old vintage Montreal smoked meat deli that has been around 100 years. Mainstream viral breakers are prob more like Wendy’s (which I like btw).

wow, that was a great box, I got three boxes and four loose packs, didn’t hit Bedard, but still got a lot of cool stuff. From the four packs I got the manufactured patch update of the inaugural year of the Seattle Kraken. Out of my boxes I hit a woody of Alex Ovechkin, three different, Fantilli, rookie cards, base, blue, and retro, a Leo Carlson bass rookie, a Bo Horvat All-Star green foil limited to 33, a Luke, Hughes foil, rookie limited to 350, a Jacob Markstrom purple base parallel, limited to 49 and for the third year in a row, I actually hit a retro blank back of miko rantinen. so I am done, I’m calling it good and I’m not pushing my luck anymore. My suspicion is that I probably pulled all the great stuff out of the one case that my card shop was able to get. The other thing I’m curious about is whether or not all of the 600 cards in the retro portion of the set have a blank back or whether it’s just the big name players because it’s the third year in a row. I’ve done this and the other two times I did it. I hit Austin Matthews from two years ago and then last year I hit Jack Hughes so I’m not exactly sure how many of the retros have a blank back but we all kind of know that they are super rare similar to the way of the woody cards. They don’t have odds but they’re super tough.

Never been a big fan of OPC (because, Platinum "AKA Topps Chrome v2.0"), but these past few years it seems like Upper Deck found a way to make it look like a more premium product overall despite the lack of jerseys, autographs and shiny stuff. Usually I'm not buying them, but I enjoy watching them. P.S : Thanks for the Bubly joke. Perhaps the true highlight of this video.

Can't wait to open my boxes! Nice pulls! Any thoughts on how the Puzzle Bounty /100 card was on COMC the night before release date? I know the release was pushed back originally, and I know there's massive efforts to open cases to get the bounties, but to get all the puzzle cards, receive the card from UD, and then get that card sent to COMC so it could be listed for sale the night before the product was even supposed to release feels pretty off, as if the product has been in the hands of some (LCS' or individuals) for what I would imagine be at least a week while the general public had to wait until today.

Hey Decoy. I wasn't aware of this. Let me just say, as a rule, I don't believe in speculation, as it leads to unsubstantiated claims. Anyone can theorize anything. But, if an authentic OPC card surfaces prior to an official release, there really are a handful of potential options. These include for instance either an UD, distributor, or retailer leak. I know for a fact that approved distributors (like GTS) and retailers (like D&A and SCC) ship boxes ahead of the release to time them to arrive on release day. So, individuals do get their hands on boxes prior to release day. Ppl could also intercept boxes in transit via the shipping company. But, middle-men are not supposed to open them ahead of time. Whether UD or warehouse staff pocket cards on occasion, we can only guess. I'm sure across all retail industries there is some leakage. But, I am not privy to stats around stolen or error cards that go missing, including from quality control. I do know that where there is generational talent there is more money, and thus greater incentive for misconduct. Also, I know in McDavid's rookie year there were def cards that went to staff as gifts, but often they were marked on the back as manufactured for staff. This included some McDavid autos. So, really, someone who is curious about cards that surface prior to release would have to enquire directly with the distributors and UD about how it occurs. Primary source and substantiate their theories. Otherwise, ppl will invent scenarios. I wish I could say I care. But, cards to me are gaming, gambling and penny stocks. There is a lot of volatility, it's a male dominated culture, and it is self-governed. I prefer to steer clear of the drama for clicks. I'm just building a community around understanding the basic math given cards are a sunk cost, and the sentimental aspects, divorced from equating cardboard to dollars.

@@Fultoncards I very much appreciate your response, and you pretty much put in to words what I was feeling. My only frustration is the perceived odds for bounty redemptions based on how much has been opened already (if some opened before release), but as you said, not easy to confirm it and harder to do anything about it, so instead of worrying I'll just look forward to my case arrival! :)

To me this is completely what this hobby is about. Great looking cards with some great looking inserts. A lot of cards in the set so it makes set building a little challenging. And of course the OPC name is just special. It's not high end but it's something that can appeal to everyone. Young or old, New collectors or long time collectors this is great for everyone. Great observation. One of the appeals for ppl like myself is the inclusion of fourth line depth players. Even back in the 1970s, OPC was notoriously a 396-card set full of bruisers.
