I was born in 1984, but by the time I got to preschool I had an older cousin that had given me one of her old backpacks. It was kind of the opposite of this. It was black with neon scribbles, cassette tapes, drippy pizza slices, & graffiti style 80's words & phrases. I thought I was the coolest kid in that whole preschool & this brought that image back. I love it.

Being born in the late 60's omg the memories that come back esp in the 70's and 80's i so miss the cassette tapes and the old roller skates the flared jeans and the HUGE collars on shirts LOL Who remembers trying to find a pen or pencil to rewind the castette tape or when you had to un twist it ????. LOL 😆 Roller-skates 🛼🛼 were the first thing that popped into my head when you said 80's. 😂 Then the BIG Boom boxes everyone carried on their shoulder so you could hear the cassette tapes! Michael Jackson's moon walk, break dancing, moon boots, legwarmers (in the summer) and don't forget jeans 👖 with big, bright flowers printed on them. I love it! I remember when those colors were all the rage. My son had a pair of jams (you remember jams? Long shorts?). The jams and matching shirt were those colors. That Christmas I had 9 nieces and nephews plus my own kids to buy gifts for. I was stumped. I bought a sweatshirt and pants for all and hand painted those designs on them. Each one different from the others. They looked cool.

Cassettes were late 70s, early 80s. 4:37 I used to "tape" American Bandstand. It was where I saw Prince the first time. Before that, we had 8 track tapes.

Okay 13:22 we gotta try a Christmas tree pour with that neon powder placed in small little pops in a string of light pattern. That looks cool...but definitely tropical colors. I think minus the green you'd get a much more 80s look.

Apart from green and orange teaming up to brown in places I'd say it's a win! For a the Winter one you could try to replicate one of your gorgeous snow windows perhaps?

I think I would try making uv resin dams between areas on the backing, and then pour the neons into those areas, maybe not make the dams all the way to the top of the mold, but then you could keep the greens next to the yellows, and away from the coral, they could mix a little, but not so randomly? It is pretty amazing, I still have my neon ski jacket from that time, and love its crazy…

Have you tried putting an opposite color over the powder? Like red resin over the orange powder or yellow over the green powder.
