I did polestar my XC70 T6! Keep it or not?

Finally I have installed polestar performance optimization at my local Volvo dealer.
I have 30 days to test drive the polestar optimization to decide if I like it. Full review and decision video will be coming up in March 2019. Stay tuned!

On every car that I have ever remapped, the remap has given me more power when needed, better drive ability, and better mpg when driving considerately. I had a BSR map on my old XC90 D5 which I was a little disappointed with at first, but I found a pressure leak on the engine, which when fixed sorted it! I think you'll see all of this on the XC70 and I can't wait to see your review video! Keep up the great work and that's one of the best presents you could give yourself!!!

I have XC70 T6 Polestar from new.. It has the 329bhp and absurd torque..it humiliates cars that find it perplexing. BMW M3 diesel.. Audi RS3.. hilarious... not a 'handling' racey thing like theirs. but the electronic stability control and silly 'go' make it brutal. It especially upsets them if it happens with a car full of stuff.... as the thing doesn't seem to care a lot about being laden. It is stupid rare here in the UK.. 26 only of my model year.. so I LOVE all your stuff about yours. I have the side skirts, too.. and bought the under-engine aluminium skid pan/protector. I covet your decal ..and that module you added to the rear tailgate.

I added Polestar to my 2018 S90 and the difference was so noticeable and, as other people say, it is like another car. Couldn't imagine it without it now.

I did it in 2nd year of owning my V70 T6 AWD. Day after I was driving about 1500 km and ...it was really another car!! Something like loosing the 20% of the weight. Definitely it was worth it.

My P2 XC70 wasn't Polestared. But it was chip tuned by another tuner. Even that, there's no way i can go back and drive the factory tuning anymore. I don't understand why Volvo is so modest in their factory setting when the engine clearly can take so much more power. At Stage 1 tuning, I got from 195hp to 280hp. The improvement is night and day. The cost is very low. It has potential to get up to 350 if I get it tuned to Stage 3 with some engine parts upgrade. I'm sure you will love the new Polestared XC70. I can't wait till March.......O wait! That's tomorrow!

I didn't realize this was possible. I thought you had to buy a Polestar from the factory. Anyway I personally would not do this to my 2007 XC70 because I like it the way it is. I've owned a few Volvos over the years and the one I'm driving is the best cat I've owned. I think your videos are really well done and educational for Volvo owners. Thanks.

I would! If you dont like it you can get a refund. I was actually looking at both XC70s P2 and P3 but ended up finding P3 in better shape. I love the P2 XC70. It's still not behind in style, comfort or features.

Just go to a 3-party optimizer and you save a lot of money. In sweden i got BSR own module to flash the software with so i can remove it if I want to. Cost me 600$

Your XC70 is well nicer than that big box XC90. All the 90 series cars are too big bodied, bulky and ugly IMO. The new 60 series is very attractive looking and big! I predict the big sellers being the XC60, V60 and S60. I’m buying a new V60 Cross Country (in my sleep 💤). The best safety feature of a Volvo is the ‘driver’. I actually want for my wife V60 CC t replace our aging Suzuki SX4. Here in Canada the V60CC comes only in T5 which does not get the ability to Polestar it. Only V60 T6. I am talking about not the latest V60 CC. Hello from cold Canada.

Hello, I have a 2005 Volvo XC-90 V8 with a 130000 km and I am doing all the servicing using your videos which are very helpful and as an airline pilot I have a sharp eye for meticulous work. I want to do the transmission flush however I do not have VIDA DICE. Where do you get one, and what computer are you using to run the software for the counter reset? Where are you buying your genuine Volvo parts? I live in Europe. Last but not least with 130k do you recommend fill and drain method or flushing via the transmission cooler return line. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello! First is respect to the job you are doing. I mean it! Vida Dice is available t purchase on Ebay. It will install on Win 7. All parts I buy either at my Volvo dealer or other online websites like ipdusa.com rockauto.com eeuroparts.com fcpeuro.com The best would be to flush via the transmission cooler line. Good luck!

I have a XC70 (2012 MY) from new and have thought about Polestar, but the cost has always put me off and more so since it doesn’t do anything for the MPG; plus it could also increase my insurance premium. So I’m very interested in your full review. Yes. Reacts to your input faster. I have a friend with XC70 D4 and he did polestar. He was happy with the upgrade. Ask the dealer if they can give you 30 days to return it.
