This was off their second album, both Led Zeppelin I & II were released in (1969). A huge majority of us have been listening & fans, since the beginning, or shortly thereafter after. They are not a heavy metal band, & have stated that themselves, hard rock at times but that’s it. They performed so many genres to perfection, Led Zeppelin was their own genre. It’s harder to find a song you don’t care for, because there’s so many excellent ones, I have like 3 that are lower down on my list. Others love the 3 that don’t make the top of my list, my top 3, all the other songs by them. Thanks for your reaction, keep diving into LED Zeppelin, you’ll love every second of the greatest ride.

This song is actually more typical of LZ than others you're reacted to. This was their first big hit on US radio, although in a much abbreviated form. That whole middle section was the psychedelia part, but almost all sound effects were produced by Jimmy with his guitar and a bow, or a sideways pick. They could reproduce it live. But they wrote and recorded many types of music, from metal to folk and everything in between. My favorites though, are the blues numbers. Every song on this album is dynamite.

I was lucky enough to see Zeppelin in 1977 and no one has ever come close to their body of work. Jimmy Page set out to create a band that was immensely talented and musically gifted and did just that. Resulting in music that still stands the test of time!!
