I myself lost my father when I was a child. It was my mother who raised me alone. It was very difficult. She went through a lot to raise me. Now I have grown up, I have my first degree on ICT , but I could not get a job in the field I studied, but I didn't give up, I went down and worked Housekeeping to make her equal to other people. iam proud of you all things you say will make me strong thanks edgar .

Thank you for sharing your story. It really hit me, but in a good sense. I was in a similar situation. A few years after I was born, my mom and dad got into debt mediation because of loans my parents couldn't pay off. It was always my dream to have a cool gaming setup, which obviously couldn't be realised. But then my mom got cervical cancer which was a huge blow because we had trouble paying for the treatment my mom was getting. But in the end, we got out of it. But then, tragedy struck...My dad passed away of heart failure when I was 7. My mom was heartbroken and it left a deep trauma in me. But nonetheless, my mom worked her ass off, literally damaging her whole body in the process until we were out of our debt. And a few weeks ago, my dream came true from watching huge inspirations like you. I got my very first Gaming PC. My mom always did everything for me. Edgar, you are a huge inspiration to so many, and as much as we can't compare each others situation because we all have different experiences and ways of processing tragedy and trauma, just know you are not alone! Please keep being the awesome person you are

I've been watching you for 3-4 years now, Ed, and your channel has been an absolute inspiration to me. 4 years ago, I had no idea content like yours existed on KZbin and I had no idea you could build your own computer and create a cool gaming space. I have learned so much for you - from building a pc, to keeping a clean setup and all stuff computer/tech related - you taught me so much. Your dry sense of humor and originality as well as your openness about your life in the channel is the reason I keep coming back (maybe also because I envy all the cool tech you get to play with, ha-ha). It's sad to hear your story but it made you the incredible man you are today, reaching millions in the digital space and blessed with a lovely family. In fact, you along with a couple other tech youtubers inspired me to start my channel. I am still learning in the KZbin space, and I have just under 1000 subscribers under my name. And a lot of the stuff I do it because of what I learned or saw from you. I do this for fun and hopefully one day I get to reach your level and maybe meet you. But my point here is that you are a great and self-made guy, and you shouldn't be sad about your past. Not all of us had it easy, but the future is always brighter for those who at least try to make it that better. Godspeed.

After hearing about your story Edgar, it touched me. The fact that even someone like you can have a rough past should really tell everyone, never to judge a book by its cover. You’re an inspiration and I’m glad to be a subscriber my friend. Also I think Edgar’s podcast would be a big hit.

Hey Ed, This is Karan from India. I just wanted to say how much I love your videos and watching you build PCs and help others in need. You have a truly kind heart. I mainly use my PC for gaming, but recently, I haven't played any games; instead, I've been binge-watching your KZbin content. I really appreciate how you give back to the community with setup makeovers and those amazing deals on Discord. The things you’ve said in your video show how much heart you put into everything you do. You’re genuinely the nicest and best KZbinr I’ve seen. And your mother raised a wonderful son . The story touched my heart ❤ it needs gutts to express something that you will cry in front of millions of peoples. Soo proud of you man ... I also adore your daughters, Olivia and Shay they’re absolutely adorable. I’m so happy for you and all the progress you’ve made. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful person. ❤

Thanks for sharing your story Ed. It's sometimes so easy for us as viewers to look at successful content creators like yourself, living in a lovely home with a lovely family, and forget that it's not always been sunshine and rainbows for you. To have the strength to do what you've done and succeed the way you have, not only speaks volumes about you, but it speaks volumes about your mum as well, and how she raised you. I'm certain she's incredibly proud of you.

Edgar you sharing your story and actually shedding tears only brings us closer together. I only have more respect for you for sharing something so personal for the world to see, I mean this is how u can tell someone is a genuine person. So thank you for sharing, keep pumping out content because u love making it and we love watching it. It's the perfect balance. Yin and yang is at play throughout all of our lives, i mean look how you were able to come from nothing to having such a massive audience that loves your videos and supports you always❤. Your father and my mom's dad both were not present in the lives of their kids and to this day my mom still doesn't even know what her dad looks likes, what kind of person he was or anything. So hearing that golden nugget of you and your dad I can understand how it makes you feel thanks to my mom. Regardless you turned out to be a independent man, a husband and proud father of 2 beautiful daughters Olivia and Shayla are lucky to have you and ofc they gave the whole of the techsource family too. I like to think we are only as strong as how much you suffered and the pain you had to go through in life along with the sacrifices and life lessons you had to learn along the way to get to where you are today.

Edgar i know its easier said than done, but it's always best to forgive, i know you'll never forget, but forgiving your dad whether he knows it or not, already makes you a better man & father. I'm 32 with two boys of my own, didn't grow up with either of my parents, spent the majority of my childhood in foster care, until the day i got adopted by the woman that helped me be the man i am today. At the time i was so angry and upset at how my life was in the moment but i decided to forgive them even if they didn't know. I just want to thank you for sharing your vulnerability, and your transparency!

Man this hit me, your not alone though. Growing up I remember days with no food , eating canned beans for months. Being excited to get a trash bag of throw away cloths from good will. Trying to comfort my mom crying , I used to tell her one day ill grow up and buy you a sparkly green dress to make you happy(I thought it was that simple). I got older , got busy, helped her where I could. Two years ago she died in a house fire trying to get an old man out , she wouldn't leave him behind. I break down all the time still , I never got her that green sparkly dress and it kills me inside. I know she was proud of me though coming from nothing and being able to support my family now . I still miss her so very much . Thank you for sharing your struggles . If anyone reads this give your mom a hug , you never know when that's the last one.

Love the baby being part of the build. My girls are almost 17 and 19. They grow up way too quick. Love who they are now, but miss the baby days too. Sorry your dad had his issues. I feel sad for him that he missed you all growing up. Your mom sounds like she’s a Saint to keep trying it with him for her children when she knew the likely outcome. But knew every day he was there was a day for the kids to experience and maybe remember. Good intentions. That said, he didn’t deserve you all. I imagine a mom that raised a man like yourself did great with your siblings too. Keep doing what you do, and keep being the amazing dad you are for your girls. We are all fans and proud of you for persevering and wanting to take care of your mom.

So refreshing to hear what all it takes for a content creator to get where they want to be. We see the end where everything looks perfect from the outside, but we forget what all we must overcome in our lives. It’s cool to see we have something in common, and that you’ve have found success despite the struggle from your childhood. Good on ya Ed! Your mom is proud

Man, to open up to your viewers and followers like that. Takes some next level courage. Always love to listen to success stories. Obviously you're better off now that what you've been through and it is very well deserved for a good guy like you, but that journey you shared makes it even more meaningful and worthwhile and priceless. I'm just happy to see that despite all the success you have right now, you still manage to keep your feet on the ground and share your blessings with other people and you never waver in doing so. A big kudos and standing ovation to your Mom on that part for how she brought you up to be a good and grounded person. More power to you my friend! Love from the Philippines! 🤜🤛🍻

It's incredible that this video came out just today for me, I put it in with the hope of watching something that always clears my mind but Right now I am going through the same situation the same you mentioned about your mother and I don't know how to see my children, while they laugh and play. It's difficult, best wishes to everyone who is going through the same thing. Great build btw like always cheers my man.

I feel your pain, im 39 years old and have never seen my father... I have one son who's 7 years old and I'm making sure I am there for him no matter what... sometimes I go overboard and do way too much and he might be a little spoiled and I thankful for that. keep your head high and take care of the ones you love...

Man this video had me 😢! I semi relate to your situation as my parents came to this country with nothing and worked their tails off to make sure we had everything we needed. They struggled a lot working at a factory with not so favorable working conditions for over 38 years. I just lost my dad a few weeks ago and appreciate now more than ever the sacrifices they made not only for themselves but for their kids! You should be proud of your mom and how well she raised you brotha! Make sure you tell her as often as you can, how much you appreciate those sacrifices she made for her children! Keep up the great work on this channel, I enjoy every video you have put out! Actually just finished purchasing most of my custom pc parts and a lot of the parts I purchased were recommendations you made! I appreciate all the time in effort you put into this!
