The "worst best friend" actually has a real life story behind it. The actor, Tom Arnold, was joking with the director, James Cameron, about his real life ex-wife taking everything out of their house after their divorce... including the Ice Cube Trays in the freezer. James Cameron loved the story so much, he included the line in the movie. Then basically wrote his character around that line, and brought in Tom Arnold to basically play a more satirical version of himself. Also a lot of guys bond over behaviors like that, it's just how guys deal with rejection and bad relationships... so in the 90s when people were less sensitive, this film really showed that type of male bonding. As to his "women can't live with them, can't kill them..." it's actually a play on a famous quote "woman, cant live with 'em, can't shoot 'em" by Steven Wright. Who was a famous comedian at the time.

The dogs are okay. The ones Arnold crashed together were made of rubber Here's an interesting bit of trivia... that part where the fighter jets blew up the bridge with missiles and machine gun fire? Yeah, that was two fighter jets from the Florida Air National Guard blowing the crap out of the real bridge. The old bridge was originally built in 1909, and by 1994 when this movie came out the old bridge was falling apart and scheduled to be replaced. So when James Cameron approached the Florida government and said, "I heard your bridge is up for demolition, do you mind if I blow some of it up for this movie I'm making?" not only did Florida say "Yeah, okay," they asked if Cameron wanted to borrow some fighter jets. The FANG used it as a training mission. Parts of the old bridge still stand and is used as a fishing pier. Most of it lies at the bottom of Duck Cut where it forms a brand new reef. And by the way, Jamie Lee Curtis really did the stunt where she is lifted out of the limousine by one hand and then flew to the next island hanging from the helicopter herself. She was a total badass in this.

This is a brilliant movie! One of schwarzenegger's best roles. The statement about kids being 10 years ahead is the same every generation, my folks said it about me, and now I say it about my 13 year old already, great reaction V 👍

Cool reaction to a movie that is so fun. Another really fun one with Arnold is Kindergarten Cop. He does comedy as good as he does action and blending the two is even better.

1:40 "did this even happen once" Well.. its complicated. Spying is more of a team work than movies make it seam. It does happen that spies are injected or extracted with both parachute and via scuba But typically the nation spying would already have resources on the ground or close by. The person inserted would then typically be some kind of expert, typically a technical export. While the person already there would be the person in the actual party. So typically the opposite on how most movies portray it. There was a time when spies did assassinations. But during the cold war they figured out that it was.. well not very neither effective or good. So they (as far as we know) stopped doing that, hence the spies in parties typically also stopped. 11:54 a horse would not exceed the weightlimit of a elivator that would fit it

I think when spies were most like in spy movies was during WWII

30:55 "it's just like riding a bike. You never forget, really." "I wouldn't say flying a jet is like riding a bike." That's not the what the idiom means. "it's just like riding a bike" is an idiom that means "Once you learn how to do this, you never forget, just like once you learn how to ride a bike you never forget." So Harry's buddy was just saying "He used to know how to fly a jet and he will never forget." The comedy here is that he obviously has forgotten, at least a little, since he's doing it badly while his buddy is saying this.

Danba, later in her life, was the bad girl and Buffy's nemesis in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Still, even later in her life, she dated Laker Rick Foxx.

The nature of top secret government work is you can't discuss it with people who don't have equal or higher clearance. My Ex-wife was military, and sometimes, she simply would tell me she had a rough day, but it involved things she was not at liberty to discuss.

Hi V ! This movie is one of the rare US remakes of a french comedy to be actually better than the original, thanks to a budget who is probably like 10 or 20 times the one of the original and a talented director. Now, if you're interested in french comedies (provided you can found them with english subtitles, which should be doable), here's a small list I can suggest to you : - Le Dîner de Cons (1998) - La Cité de la Peur (1994) - Les Visiteurs (1993) - Astérix & Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre (2002)

No, Hitman gives you True Lies vibes. The younger thing is always the thing which reminds one of the older thing. Like how you don't say "Oh, Abe Lincoln is reminding me so much of Joe Jonas."

Fun Fact: The Harrier jet Arny flies at the end is the exact same one destroyed in The Avengers when Hulk and Thor are fighting. The thing was just sitting around in a studio hanger as a prop between the movies, Marvel got it for free so the prop department could free up space.

Bill Paxton(Simon) was the best at entertainingly playing an obnoxious jerk. He also showed this ability in "The Terminator," "Weird Science," "Aliens," "Near Dark," and "The Edge Of Tomorrow."

Great YOU enjoyed this superb Action-Comedy film. Never wins polls, which is very surprising. Other films that usually do not win polls but should be added to your future watch list are: 'Eraser' - 1996 film which also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. 'The Substitute' - 1996 film with Tom Berenger. 'Under Siege' - 1992 film with Steven Seagal. Hope you get to these. Enjoy!
