I didn't know how this was gonna turn out!!! 👀

My long time client was ready for a change up and told me to do whatever I wanted! We're going to be doing a drop fade with a part on one side and a good trim on top. We just kind of went with the flow so I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out! The fade steps are super detailed and should help you all really understand each step with each guard.

Honestly, being a cosmetologist I sure could use a lesson on open vs closed guard. Open is the lever all the way down? Takes most hair? Closed is all the way up with lever? Is that like having a half guard on? A video would be so helpful. Maybe you have already done one in the basics of language of clippers? How much hair is taken? Then putting on a guard like a 1/2 isn’t that the same as the lever up? See how lost I am?

Closed is the closest to the skin open is more long

The half guard and the 1 and a half guard aren’t made for making sections, they are for blending in between the Clipper open and 1 guard for the .5 guard, and between the 1 and the 2 with the 1 and a half guard
