Today I'm going to be showing you my 3 finger technique. This is a system I use to make sure I'm placing the fade in the correct place. This technique will work for low, mid, and high fades, burst fades, tapers, and more! I hope you're able to take this back to the shop and put it to use!

Just change where you start your guidelines. Also if you feel there’s not room for 3 fingers then you know to tighten up your guidelines a little bit
@Enano999
@Enano999 10 ай бұрын
It’s crazy because when I started cutting last year I used to make one line get rid of it then make another and get rid of it, probably 3-4 months into barbering I would make all the guidelines and fade them, now a year into this craft I fade down so when I watch people make guidelines I find it weird😭

hey quick question about hitting the line with the corner of the clippers, is there a difference between which corner am I using and which way Im going?
@Seancutshair

Not necessarily but you need to cut against the direction the hair is growing. Sometimes one corner will hit it better than the other

Would this be considered a mid fade? If I wanted to do a high fade, would I use 2 fingers?
@Seancutshair
@Seancutshair 10 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s a mid fade. For a high fade you wouldn’t leave as much weight and would just shift the whole thing up a step. Also can just tighten up your guidelines. There would still be the same steps whether high, mid, or low

Do u take the guidelines all around the head and then take them out the same way or do u finish the fade on half the head and do it the same on the other side ?
