This was entertaining to see you so excited to get a knife that you like so much. I remember feeling like that when i first got into premium knives. Those 3 you showed are great options for premium options, my top 3 currently are the spk lamia, brown fsd-i, and the good old sebenza as always.

Thanks a lot man! I had a lot of fun talking about it haha. Dude I want an FSD so bad, those are so beautiful. Appreciate you, God bless

Holding mine watching this. I literally emailed Les to tell him it's the greatest folding knife ever made. Only things in my collection that even come close is an SPK and a Strider.

I hope to get one of those one day! I have a question for you. Do you have to pay tax when you order from DLT? Thanks for the awesome content.

It's well worth it! Yeah unfortunately we do haha💀

@@raydens_armoryYou’re not in Wisconsin though, are you?
@raydens_armory10 ай бұрын
@@dansatermo3185 I'm not no, in Cali. But we get taxed for it. Pretty sure if you're in Wisconsin then you won't get taxed since it's the same state as DLT
@dansatermo318510 ай бұрын
Nope! We get taxed because DLT is in Wisconsin and so are we. I’ve bought from them before. They’re awesome and excellent customer service but hate to be taxed (more). If you are in Cali then you can relate FOR SURE. Our sales tax is only 5% here.

Can you use the button lock from either side?
@raydens_armory11 ай бұрын
Yeah, using your index finger on the left hand works really well. The action is flawless

Id love to see you do a negative, or even mediocre review of a knife. Every video ive seen from you feels like its right in the middle of that "honeymoon phase" where we're still trying to convince ourselves not to regret the $500+ purchase we just made. Not at all meant as a knock against you, and damn sure not a knock against Les George. Just an observation as a long time viewer...

Really appreciate hearing your thoughts, I am actually working on a knife that has some very clear negatives, will post that one next. Thanks for you support man!

You said exactly how I feel. It's good to know that that range of emotions that I feel from desire before the actual purchase, to the slight disappointment and placing the knife into the knife drawer after the "honeymoon".

Nice Video.The Les George you have is an awesome knife but you should really lookup what Mid-tech is. Factory made or shop made? Employee made or Builder/Maker made? Outsourced or In-house? Check it out and you will see what I mean. :)

Can this knife be disassembled just as easy with the push button lock system?
@raydens_armory11 ай бұрын
Yeah actually, it's pretty straight forward, the only thing you would have to be more careful about is making sure the spring within the plunge lock is upright, which honestly shouldn't be too hard. The cool thing about is that the tolerances are extremely tight and the hardware is heated phenominal. So it'll be really easy to maintain over the years
@tmonk00111 ай бұрын
Thank you! I only asked because I'm seriously considering purchasing this knife. I can't find any videos or information online on the disassembly process. Other people online were also wondering, but no one has done a video or explained the disassembly process.

I was able to pick up a VECP button lock in magnacut. It is very easy to disassemble, just like you said. Putting the spring back in and aligning the plunge lock is a little tricky, but not bad. I will say this is definitely the smoothest action out of any of my washer knives. It feels like it's running on bearings. My Chris Reeve sebenzas and umnumzaan are not even close to as smooth, but they do have a place in my carry line up. The Les George VECP button lock is definitely my go-to right now. I would like to find one now in a damascus blade.
