Sweet. Sick groove came quickly. I've been using Ableton for 20 years but seeing what is possible gets me excited about a DAW in a way I haven't since the early years of Ableton. They really have taken all those tools to the next level. Great videos. Subbed.

The irony of it all. 1986 Humans create the drum machine due to the fact that drummers are notoriously bad at their craft and could not reliably be counted on. 2024 Humans create software to take the computer out of the drum machine to make it sound like a drunk drummer half laying on his hat while playing. If you can call it playing that is, lol! I mean come on, the poor drummer has a 73.6539578% chance of even hitting the thing! J/K great work as always. I do truly appreciate the work you put into the channel and teach cool new stuff. From the posts below it would appear it is close to your birthday. Happy Birthday! *throws dart at calendar*

I love Bitwig but I don’t personally think this method is very effective, in regards to how you used the master automation to change the groove swing and amount. If you want to get some of the unique and hip modern rhythms, you’re better off just individually adjusting each note. There are times when humanize can be helpful but more often than not if you individually adjust subtly each note , you’ll get a better outcome that you have more control over
@Alckemy
@Alckemy 11 ай бұрын
I actually agree with this. But this can be a stepping stone and can also be a useful tool when resampling. I have used ableton for almost a decade and never liked using the groove pool either. Some people are attached to it though

I don’t see why they don’t have groove per channel or per clip or per note even ! I never use the global swing in LIVE. I’m legit sitting on the fence between updating to live 11 (still on 10) or changing it up and trying bitwig. It realy intrigues me. I’m a modular person ..lots of Eurorack.. so the modulator thing and grid .. more ways to not get shit finished .. why that last ep still not done ? Eurorack Now I guess .. when u gonna send that “I don’t know I got a cool grid patch tho running” But I kinda lost the plot and haven’t even been doing music as in workinf on tracks to release (I have half a dozen labels waiting 2 years for a release and I just find myself riding my Harley across states and smoking herbs. Thought a daw Change would Shake it up a bit HELLLLP

Can I save my custom Quantize in Bitwig like mpc or logic Shuffle etc..?
@Alckemy
@Alckemy 2 жыл бұрын
Great question! unfortunately no but you can bounce whatever you have on the spot. I like this method better though because it doesn’t force you into a single groove and you can automate it for more intricate rhythmic possibilities

You could always save a template too. Make a template with the groove function you like, make the beat or Melody, bounce it out, and then do a thing with the other thing
