I fell into a 4-week depression this past year and didn't do anything except eat and sleep and occasionally brush and floss my teeth. once I finally showered I was covered in dry skin, which took multiple showers to get off. i didn't still smell after the first shower though. When my depression hit, I wouldn't shower for 2 months, I had tremors, didnt get out of bed, almost flunked high school, had constant panic attacks, didnt eat, lost 20 pounds in those two months, probably more, I'd rather not remember, of course till I scarfed down spaghetti within a matter of seconds...but I digress, sometimes some are lucky to feel the motivation.

I UNDERSTAND THIS CHALLENGE COMPLETELY! I had a chest surgery and because the wound took a long time to heal, I literally couldn't shower for almost 2 months! I only use dry cleanser, those rinse-free cleanser, I have 4 mini towels for wet wiping. I can wash the bottom half of my body so at least I can wash the groin area, if not, I don't know if I can stand it! I missed the water flowing from my head to toe. I felt sticky very quickly cos I sweat. And yes, I appreciate shower more now. I can relate so well to this challenge.

I'm gonna be honest with you, I once went without showering for a month because of diagnosed clinical depression and it was almost nothing like this. I didn't get any rashes or anything, you just smell a bit worse but it's not that bad and no one can tell (of course if you're gonna wear clean clothes around them). The smell can be covered up by deodorant, perfume and a "baby wipe shower" now and then, I also used a wet towel and wiped myself. No one could tell and none of the people I interacted with in school or at home knows this to this day. I swear it's not as bad as it sounds Btw I washed my hair then since it's much easier for me and I usually shower and wash my hair separately

tbh not washing your hair for a month doesn't really affect you. For a lot of black women who do sewins and braids, they have gone at least 6 weeks without washing their hair (myself included) it isn't all that bad.
