Obviously most of those people had dismissed you on contact, however, saying "I was thinking.." was not a good choice of words, maybe saying I was "wondering" or "hoping" or asking "would you be kind enough" is a more apt way to ask. Often people are better persuaded by the words you use. Im not a stranger to hardship, I have done homless outreach for years & even cracked empty buildings & housed 200+ homless people a 100 yards from where you were. Malaysia has large percent of ethnic Chinese people, and u can recognize them by their fair skin complexion, and facial features and their almond shaped eyes. That last man in blue sweater also look like ethnic chinese person, but his accent when he speak , means he likely grew up in western country . Final conclusion is most likely 100% of all the people , who wanted to help u are ethnic Chinese people, but of various different nationalities. It turn out that more than 50 % of the people u ask at China town, were willing to help u . A better idea is to ask the race as well as nationality of person , who wanted to help u, rather than ask only their nationality , because millions of ethnic Chinese people have nationalities from countries other than China, but because u are doing social experiment in a western country , and when u are asking which country they came from, most of them will not say China , but might say Uk or Germany or Vietnam or Malaysia, so u mistakenly make wrong conclusion they are not ethnic Chinese people, but in actual fact, there are millions of Chinese people but living in Malaysia and Vietnam and Singapore and virtually almost all countries . So if u ask a Chinese person staying in Vietnam where he/she come from, obviously since he/she live in Vietnam, so he/she will say Vietnam even though his/her race is ethnic Chinese, so u end up making wrong conclusion that Chinese people are not helpful , but in this video, by careful observation tell me that 100% of the people helping u, are ethnic chinese people who are living i various different countries.
