Tip for the Sakura and Bison reps, the forward direction on the first rep counts toward the first motion of the next rep. So 1) slow it down and 2) the rest of the loop is just qcf + punch, repeat and just tack on the super at the end. The way I've seen it done most efficiently is to just scrub the gate without ever going back to neutral, so the inputs would read, forward, down, down forward, forward + punch, down forward, down, down forward, forward + punch xN.

@@prachetasnayse9709 yep. Samurai Shodown was basically the precursor to soul calibur. Fairly limited combos outside of counter hits (and in samurai shodown, outright unlikely situations) but a strong hit can take close to half your health away.

Slow down your bison and sak cc's. You want to cancel on each last possible hit, bisons will do ass dmg if you mash too fast and cancel on first hit. Trick to practice for sakura, just infinite meter and set the dummy to guard all. Once the guardbreak happens super

I'll tell you right now.. games like this are the reason every pro player used to fight on stick. It isn't just old boomer mentality.. it's that the games literally were designed for stick, and are easier to play that way. Paint the fence, Sakura custom.. if you ever get into tougher stuff like DP chip customs (Kyo/Iori for example).. those shits seems almost impossible to do consistently on pad. Never mind stuff like RC Electricity or Honda RC Hands/Chun RC Lighting Legs. Ofc.. you don't NEED any of that shit to play this game. You can just pick K-Groove top tiers and never have to worry about any tough inputs.. or play C-Groove top tiers and just don't roll cancel ever like Justin used to.

Actually, this is Capcom's game. They build three of them, CVS1 and an update called CVS Pro, and CVS2. SNK build one card game SVC: Card clash, a mobile fighter and SVC: Chaos.

in the old japanese releases of SF games, vega = dictator, balrog = claw, bison = boxer. M. Bison was supposed to be a Mike Tyson reference so you'll notice the boxer character is called M. Bison in this video too. and Vega is called Balrog. iirc they switched the names around for future international SF releases because they were afraid of getting sued by Mike Tyson.
