Just wondering if your detecting channel is monitized? I've been working at it for 4 months now, and I'm about halfway there with almost 2,000 watch hours. Not sure wat the RPM rate us? Is it worth it?😅

Hi Ken! My channel is monetized. It took a little while for me to reach the 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours watched due to irregular posting. Once I retired I started cranking out videos regularly and I was able to monetize within the year. Is it worth monetizing? I think so. You’re already enjoying your hobby. May as well share it with people that enjoy it AND make a little KZbin money. I always made sure to include the brand and machine that is in the video. I put out so many videos that I even got sponsored for year and made money for and with White’s Electronics. White’s sent me my MX7, the large hexscoop, pinpointer, and a bunch of swag. The last I checked the RPM rate, for me, is: $5.55 per 1000 views and for shorts .14¢. Over time it all adds up. When I was putting out 6 videos a month I was making a couple hundred bucks a month. That’s gas money and lunch. I figure I might watch my own channel when I’m old and senile. 😆 You may as well go for it and monetize your channel. You’ve already reached the subscriber requirement. Put out four videos a month (plus shorts) and the hours will quickly follow. This makes me what to start cranking out videos.

@@hanszg2774 i believe I the settings are beach 1 sensitivity of 15. I’ll adjust up or down depending on chatter. I always mention the settings that I start off with in the beginning of the video. Lol
