2018 Double-dipper... Hi-to-Hello... Lester, would it be beneficial to set up some of the Round-pen sections to that one side of the Red Barn. Run it down the middle, one-third of a section. It will allow the longhorns access to the water trough. And give a little shelter similar to a loafing shed. On the other two-thirds side, install a gate at that opened end. Block any squeeze spaces. (@ end of container gap ends) This will allow ya'll a safe shelter space to park your tractor & side-by-side. Ya'll did a similar example when Voo Doo was at first injured. I hope this might be helpful. But ya'll are probably already in solution to the issue. 👍

It’s a very Texas thing! Many things we do in Texas are part of how we were raised. Like I’m female but my Daddy always held the door for those waiting to enter, doesn’t matter how old or gender. He taught me that I should wait for a male to hold the door for me but I should be respectful and hold the door for older men and women. We also say yes ma’am no ma’am and yes sir and no sir and I’m 71 but still say that to anyone. It’s a Texas Thang!

It would be wise to spray at night !! They don't come after you. Make sure you get rid of nest afterwards are more will come back . Be careful hornets cane make you very sick! Omg at least the tractor wasn't serious lol!!

Sept. 19, 2024. Hahaha The bulls and the female Long and Short Horn wanted to play with the flag pole. That is awesome that you could fit all 10 rolls of Bail of Hay in the metal storage containe. Thank you for another great containe. PS. Before you send little Chris to kill the Hornets nest 1. you want to make sure that is not servely alergic to hornets, and don't go into anaphylaxis reaction, and may want to carry an epic pen just incase.

Make a paste of baking soda and water, and apply to stings it will draw out the venom and keep the swelling and pain at a minimum!!!😊

The argo was used a lot in Plum Grove during the flooding. It was one of the only ways to get around in all the water. You or LE may end up using it there again in the future. The container for the hay is a wonderful asset for the JL Ranch. None of the hay will spoil when it is inside like it does when it sit out in the weather.

Hi Lester, just a note of caution. One of our local farmers bales caught fire in his barn which was open at both ends. He lost it all! It was due to combustible fire. We enjoy watching all those little calves growing. Take care. ❤

You don't kill hornets or wasps until sundown because they all are nesting for the night. That way you get them all. During the day a lot of them are out and about .

Lester, can't you some how put a door for you on the drivers side ? There are plenty of talented people out there that maybe one could help design something. Like the walk in tubs. Lester, once the girls got ahold of the first flagpole, you should’ve known it was only a matter of time before the boys did the same!😂 What if you attached the flags to the J&L sign itself. Lester I’m glad you couldn’t move the hay into the storage container after spraying for the hornets!!! That spray smell snd fumes could get into the hay and might not have been good for the cows to eat or They might have not eaten it because of the smell in the hay ! I don’t know if either would have happened but better the container had time to air out before you put the hay in it anyway !! ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

PLEASE DON'T LET THE ARGO LEAVE THE FAMILY!!! You KNOW they NEED such a machine at Morrow Hill for just in case!! If an animal gets stranded across rising water they can rescue using the Argo to safely get them to swim or carry them back to higher ground. It would have been much safer to rescue those goats that day with it rather than just a canoe. It would have allowed a more controlled moving of the canoe by towing or being lashed to the side. If the company doesn't take it back keep it there when not needed at the other 2 properties! It's been a blessing and you know it!

Weld some flag poles off the sides of your archway in your driveway. They can hang over each pasture but up high enough that the animals can’t knock them over.

The bulls are getting creative, recreating moments in history. 😉 That wasp and hornet spray is what I use, you can stand back at a safer distance, I still spray and run though I have had wasps dive bomb me before they die. 😂❤️
