If I could like this video 100x’s I would! 💛 I spent about 30+ hrs researching my family history in Ancestry and was able to go back to the 1800’s and with certain members found possible documentation of their slave owners. How we got here matters, who came before us matters. It’s shows where we came from to help shape where we are going! So glad you were able to learn about your family history and even discover which tribe your family originated from. I’ve learned the Yoruba tribe was one of the biggest and most captured during slavery and to solidify that connection is priceless 💛

Awesome video. This is why I love genealogy. I started with husband and 30+ years later, I still have the passion. My biggest advice is, you have to be patient when researching. Just because the information you seek isn’t on the computer, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Also, think outside the box when you hit a brick wall. When you are a genealogist, you are a detective. Happy Hunting. 🕵🏻♀️
