Yo también decía "pero si es guirnalda!" Pues resulta que no....viene de guirlande (francés)...y "guirnalda" es resultado de metátesis... vaya

They did Nicaragua dirty 😒 comparing a chicken to beef soup is unfair. We Nicas demand a rematch with our sopa de res vs sancocho and u will see a fair fight 😌

Puerto Rico's school lunch is so opposite to the NYC public school lunch. This food would be awesome in every public school. Everyday of the week should be a different cultural food day.

I need this. Tips: Alcohol removes hair color stains. Base the skin around your hairline with a little Vaseline or hair oil/grease/pomade before coloring.

I'm Black and we do the money dance. One of my God Mothers made a me a satin bag to hold my money instead of pinning it to my dress. My husband is white and can't dance so the ladies just pinned the money on him and danced around him. Everyone had a great time.

IN Jamaica, the "Browning class" is the term used to refer to people of mixed African and European ancestry, essentially the same as a "mulatto class" in other contexts, but with the "browning" term signifying a more specific social and cultural identity within the Jamaican context; it often implies a higher social status than simply being "mixed race.". Key points about the "browning class": Meaning: Refers to individuals of mixed African and European ancestry, often with lighter skin tones and European kr Asian or Mixed race phenotype compared to the majority Black population in Jamaica. Social implications: Historically, the "browning class" has been associated with greater privilege and access to opportunities compared to those considered purely Black. Terminology preference: While "mulatto" is technically accurate, "browning" is preferred in Jamaica as it reflects the unique social dynamics and cultural nuances of the island.

I love Jenna and she is one of my favorite actress, but again, to be Latina/o/e, you have to not only know the culture of your country, but also practice it, celebrate with others. To do that, you have to go to your country and experience that culture, to go to your country you have to speak the language of your country (spanish, portuguese or french). If you don't speak any of those, you're Latinoamericana/o/e (which refers to people that have Latinamerican heritage from their parents or grandparents), if you speak one of those but you haven't experienced the culture in the country, you are what Latinas/os/es call a No sabo (which used to be an insult but now is not bad, unless it's used as an insult). It's not bad to be a Latinamerican, it's just that it's ilogical to call someone a Latina/o/e if they haven't even interacted with the country they are supposed to be from, it's like calling someone a poliglot just because their grandma taught them how to say apple in 4 languages. It's not about being "Latina/o/e enough", it's about sharing your Latinamerican heritage with others from Latinamerica, as a matter of fact, you don't even need to have Latinamerican heritage, if you have shared with others in Latinamerica and have experienced the culture you are in fact a Latina/o/e. "Latina/o/e" is not something hereditary or something you can just learn in a book, it's the things that you have lived that make you Latina/o/e, not your heritage

She keeps winning because she knows if she's eating - it's the other two lady's dishes - so she rates low. The other two ladies always are too generous with their votes even when there are things that are wrong with the dish.
