actually the colour is TERRACOTTA (shade between brown and orange),as usual brits didn't really get it so they called it similar to pink and thats how it gets the name Pink City. and the hawa mahal windows aren't just for peeking its made in the way so that winds from windows cool down the palace in the heat of summer, i went there and it really works the way.

pink city is basically the boundary/outskirts of the town painted in pink, that is why the inner part of the hawa mahal was yellow and as you dive into the city, away from the outskirts, you'll not find so many pink architecture, just the outer part. Hey one advice When someone sell you something then say " Nahi Chahiye" which you were saying right. But when some auto Rickshaw/ Tuk Tuk ask you for ride then say " nahi Jana hai" that means " don't want to go"

For Rajasthan and other such popular touristy places, please please book a packaged tour with some reputed operators atleast the cab, do hotels on your own but the commute etc please pre book, otherwise the chance of getting scammed is really really high, even for Indian tourists too.

no mam its because fuel prices are high in Rajasthan as compared to Punjab or Delhi and uber cuts 30% commission and driver have very less margin thats why they r doing it. and one more thing if u have to buy anything just ask any localite or prefer girl of ur age because they r good in bargaining so they let u know the actual price

Those clay cups are original disposable vessels that's sustainable, made of terracotta clay. The idea is that you throw them away, they breakdown and go back into the soil. Original, because they started to exist before paper or plastic cups. You'll find similar sustainably disposable plates too, made of dry leaves, inter-stitched with small twigs.
