At least he’s doing things to earn forgiveness. He’s following all the right stages of an apology. First he says ‘sorry’, then acknowledged what he did was wrong, he acknowledged how his actions affected his daughters and others, he’s promised to never do it again/to atone, and he’s putting in the effort. It’s good that she’s waiting too. Now all that’s left is to make sure he doesn’t relapse and never get lost in the money and glamour again.

It is strange, especially from the videos I've seen, the parents do things that gives the child a good reason to disown them. In my opinion this video isn't one them, the dad definitely deserves to be criticized, but I think disowning him could be a bit too far unlike in a different video where a father got his daughter and wife ( her mother) into a car accident (and himself since he was in the car too), putting their life in danger for a prank video and felt no remorse. And as for the mother, she sided with him.
