Hiii! I personally have heavy flow and severe cramps that always lead to tears as well as feeling like melting into the floor so I don't have to do anything or socialize with people.

I am a guy and have always been sympathetic/understanding to girls for their periods and always do my best to make it easier for them (Always take the chance to ask any girl what I can do to make it easier on them) and I am happy I do not experience them from the stories I have heard. But I came across this video while I got the "man-flu" and I felt like I could kinda sorta relate (Hated everyone and everything, constantly being uncomfortable and in pain) but nowhere near as bad as women since you get it every month and 100x worse, So I wanted to say I hope you all can stay strong during your time of the month. Well it's not only blood but the uterine lining. The blood isn't coming from your entire body supply, it's kinda like we have more because we have a uterus and what we see isn't all blood. Idk if that made sense but it's the uterine lining, not blood from random places, and the uterine lining builds back up for the next month.

@@katienorthgraves9273 Well there is some blood, but it's not the only thing. It's more so the uterine lining. I like to think of it as your body practicing to have a baby. It builds a "nest" building up the uterine lining, and when it's done practicing and there isn't a baby, it disposes of the nest(uterine lining) so it can practice again.

I already have terrible mood swings, anxiety (which lowers my pain tolerance to 0) and HPS. Now, the HPS part is a big deal because it causes very excessive bleeding. I already know like 99.9% that I’ll have cramps, and my anxiety is gonna make that worse. Hopefully my period gets bad enough so they stop it. Or else, they’ll just put me on stymates around the clock. I am terrified and my anxiety is making it so much worse. Day 1: feeling sick and very painful cramps Day 2: feeling bad about myself and a lot of cramps Day 3: craving salt and cramps Day 4: usually better but still bloated and mild cramps Day 5: horrible and very painful cramps Day 6: hot pad on hight laying on my stomach Day 7: best day of all last day of my period. I use tampons it makes me feel a lot better about myself and I feel less gross. Remember that being bloated doesn’t mean you are fat; it is just water weight and your bodies way of telling you you are on your period. I am a girl so I know what it is like to be in pain for a week! And for you boys out there. Please respect woman and if you notice girls bodies are changing please know that that is normal. Same! I had every symptom you just explained, along with pms, mood swings, crying, etc. I was also put on birth control to minimize the pain and flow of my periods because they were AWFUL. Birth control has helped me so much, however I do still get cramps but the bleeding is no where near as heavy as it was. Every now and then, I’ll have a bad period, but that’s totally normal.

Period story time: tmi warning The first time I got my period it was math class. I felt something really weird with my stomach, and I felt like crying. But I never cry in school, I hate crying in public. So I sucked it up until the end of school. I went home and went to use the bathroom. And it was very difficult to do #2( I know it's tmi, sorryy) anyways It took me forever to do #2 and so I went to wipe and I saw blood. My first reaction did not automatically go to, "oh I have my period,." I was more confused. I was thinking for like 3 minutes and trying to process everything thats happening. I thought that maybe me doing #2 ripped up somethin down there and thats why I was bleeding. Then the thought kicked in that I might be on my period. Turns out I was on my period. I was so confused. At first I thought period blood solidifies after a while. I also thought that when your on your period it's like a 24/7 nonstop waterfall. Like as if I was peeing but blood the whole time. I had my friends explain it to me with a waterfountain at school. I was like, "is having your period like constant drips or is it full on hose." They showed me it was like constant drips and put the water fountain on and off to help me understand..

It’s the first day of my period today, and my periods are very irregular cause it’s around my first year getting it. Like I haven’t had them for like nine months but getting them again… Though I’ve never had period cramps. But today, for the first time I did. I was in school and I felt the worst pain on the left side of my lower back and stomach. I had to go to the bathroom and realized it wasn’t going away. I legit started praying cause I have never felt cramps before. I then went back to where I was in school and felt nauseous. So I legit went up and asked the principal (cause she was standing up and there at the time) if I could go to the nurse. -She escorted me- I asked to stop at the bathroom first and threw up. Then i went to the nurse and got sent home. - I legit missed two practices and a hockey game that I paid $25 for that I was supposed to go with my jazz band to perform. I just wanna cry, I hope it’s not like this tmrw at school 😢

omg period story time- So I woke up one morning, got in the shower didn’t know I was on my period no blood was coming out when I was in the shower either but while I was in the shower my stomach started hurting sooooo bad and I felt like I was literally gonna faint and so I was trying to finish taking my shower fast but it was so hard cause my cramps were SO bad and I felt so light headed so I literally was leaning on the shower wall and then sat down in the tub and was just sitting there for a while cause I felt so sick and thought I was gonna pass out or die and so I got out the shower while having conditioner still in my hair cause I literally couldn’t finish taking a shower it was so bad, but once I got out the shower I wrapped my towel around me and laid on my upstairs couch cause it was the closet too me and after that I text my brother and said “I don’t feel good at all do you have some food” cause I thought maybe I just haven’t ate anything and that’s why and he said no so then I told my cousin and she said “are you on your period” and I said “I don’t think so” and then she went to get me Midol while she was getting that I went to the restroom and seen I STARTED MY PERIOD so yeah it was terrible lol

The first time i got my period was in 5th or 6th grade, i honestly forgot. It was before school and my mood swings were uncontrollable, i got my pad, since i knew what to do. before class started i bursted out crying and my friends tried to comfort me, and i got a free day off of school. I have pretty much the same symptoms, but I have learned to live with it. Something that really helps alleviate the pain in the legs is using electronic leg compressors. I highly recommend them. I bought them form amazon.

i know this is usually everyone’s last option but i recommend birth control. i have dysmenorrhea which when cramps feel like pregnancy contractions. i would get really sick and throw up constantly and go to the emergency room. i recently just got the bc shot and i feel great. i actually have no period now!

My IUD has helped me a lot. My frustration would be derived mostly from the excessive bleeding and excruciating cramps I had prior to Mirena. I would free-bleed some nights just to get relief from changing all night long, sleepless nights lead to very tired and moody days. It has been 7.5 months since insertion and I am not longer changing a super tamp w/maxi pad every hour, sometimes it would be 20 minutes, I could literally insert 2 super tampons at once and have to change in 20 minutes. Birth control has saved my sanity, I work outside and it was torture to have to change so frequently while working, it made me want to cry, lol! The pain, the clots, the flow, I would take 3 Motrin 800s and still be in pain, then yiu get no sleep from the pain and/or constantly waking up to change! After Mirena, still get cravings, still cramp but much less intense and often and my flow is light like a regular tampon can be worn for the full 8 hours now, love it! Love it until they give me my hysterectomy. My BFF, she basically stopped getting her period within less than a year after her Mirena. Anyhoo, definitely recommend BC, def stand by Mirena, it really can like "take away" your period but if it doesn't I have witnessed by myself and others a serious reduction in pain and flow and that means a lot!
