I don’t think either side was wrong with their views on God, but at the same time the mother was being really close minded.

It's not only rude, it's downright disrespectful to view God like that. God is eternal not old, and He just doesn't live in the sky but He lives in all of us.

@@IIl_393 Since they are mainly indoctrinated, most religious folk cannot have their ideology discussed frankly as it is now a fundamental part of who they are as a person. It's almost like their lynchpin for reality. So to shake that is seen as an attempt to destroy their world (which is sort of true) and to not respect the 'idea', is to not respect their thinking skills (again, sort of true).

Scientists need to explain why they cannot explain the origins of the laws of nature… archaeologists have verified the Bible in their findings soooo God does exist
@KMI2 Жыл бұрын
Lol. Tell us your parents are related without telling us they're related. The objective null hypothesis is that God doesn't exist, so the burden of proof rests on the theists claiming there's a deity. You're basically a cavewoman believing Zeus is real because the society at that time couldn't explain lightning. Also, there is NOTHING that was discovered about the bible that indicates divinity. If archeologists 10000 years in the future discovered evidence of new York city and have Spiderman comics, that doesn't mean Spiderman is real. The simple truth is that you believe in God because it's COMFORTING. But wishful thinking doesn't make something true.

if i know and see archeological evidence of things in New York city does that mean spiderman is real? archeological evidence does not prove god. it just means certain events in history recorded and proven line up with the events of the bible. proof of god would have to show that a god was responsible and since its hard if impossible there's no reason to logically believe in said god. to tell if a god was responsible so we look at the reality and understanding of what we know and test and observe. so far claims of this god have not shown itself not officially. therefore from a logical conclusion there is not enough evidence or proof to confirm there is or isn't a god. what we do know so far lines up and shows us at this time that a god is not present or active in this reality and until such evidence is provided i and many wont waste my time believing in speculation or superstition being used trying to oppress anyone outside of the belief from living there lives and trying to steal away there rights from being themselves
